I’ve also taken the Superspin 2 class offered by Diane. And have learned loads and the talk at the Guild. This month by Jan Blight on A Diagonal look at Spinning was so much more relevant than it would have been a month ago. I still haven’t replaced the camera so here are a few things I’ve been doing:. End of an era →. October 27, 2013 · 9:52 am. On Friday I went to the “Made by Hand” exhibition at Lewes Town Hall – the biennial show of the East Sussex Guild of Weavers, Spinners and Dyers. It’s always a good show and the quality and inventiveness of the work on display is always a great inspiration, but this year I think it was even better. We receive many requests concerning Raw Fleece. This is now subject to regulation by DEFRA as a Waste Product, so we don’t send it out by mail. Finding poor fleece is easy, discovering a source of quality fleece is harder. If you are in the South East, contact the Small Farm Training Group which now has a Membership of several hundred keen Smallholders, its own Website. Our Guild has just updated their website. If you live in Sussex come and see what we have in our store, but please contact us first!

Travel, Food, Drink, and Life from Whitehorse, Yukon, Canada. Tuesday, August 11, 2015. England Travel: Weald Wool Fair! This past Saturday the fine folks in Wadhurst hosted the Weald Wool Fair. I was seriously torn about whether to go there or to the London Guild of Weavers Spinner and Dyers. In the end I opted for the Wool Fair, and I'm so happy to report that I returned with 4 whole fleece and part of a 5th! A lovely portland fleece that has a sort of strawberry hint to the cream;. After the shopping ...
