All they need is patience and love for working with children. Our volunteer teachers are trained to be hosts rather than lecturers. Children in remote and disaster areas and in refugee camps have limited or no access to math teachers. They cannot travel too far from home/camp due to poverty, danger, or other issues. They are too exhausted, hungry or stressed to concentrate. Some have to work to contribute to family survival. Studying at home/camp is difficult when there is no space or even light.
