Friday, November 29, 2013. Nano Novel 2013 Winner! I challenged myself this year - the challenge was to finish my novel sooner than I've ever finished before. My first year (2011), I finished on the 23rd of November. This year, I completed my novel. Next year, I think I should:. 1 Plan what I'm going to write ahead of time. I flew by the seat of my pants this year and last year. 2 Aim to complete the novel by the 20th. :). Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). I'm Elise. This is my blog. I deci...

Elise's Pieces: A blog about everything: June 2013
http://cafeshoplover.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html
Thursday, June 27, 2013. This week, I've made 6 new books in the course of 5 days. Two of them are already on Etsy and the rest will hopefully be posted by the end of the day. :). A ladybug just happened to take a hike over the top of my new tiny handmade journal. It has 10 pages and can be written in if you had something tiny enough to say. I'm thinking quotes, bible verses, inspirational sayings, itsy-bitsy sketches. It could also be used as a doll journal, I suppose! This one has a Duck taped spine an...

Elise's Pieces: A blog about everything: Hair Changes
http://cafeshoplover.blogspot.com/2014/01/hair-changes.html
Monday, January 6, 2014. I'm often asked this question. THIS one RIGHT HERE:. You changed your hair? These are strangers. People I see two or three times a week at the coffee shop where I work. I think that the question comes partially from the fact that they don't realize how fast the color fades out of my hair. If I put the same color in every time I refresh it, what's the fun in that? So, yes, I changed my hair again. January 9, 2014 at 9:08 AM. I like it a lot. :). January 9, 2014 at 8:11 PM. Opinion...

Tuesday, July 23, 2013. Fun and Games in Denton, Texas. A pond in the backyard with turtles, fish, a heron, and some ducks. This sign was lying there for a couple of days. It was back up before we left Texas, though. They had a photo booth at the reception and used the picture strips for the guestbook! Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). I'll send you a hand drawn artist card in the mail for donations equaling $2 or more! This blog is written and edited by Elise O. I understand that some of t...

Elise's Pieces: A blog about everything: September 2013
http://cafeshoplover.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html
Thursday, September 12, 2013. It's a Rice Cream Cone! This is my most recent drawing. It looks like there's a cityscape behind the rice cream cone. That was purely accidental, but I really like it. Links to this post. Wednesday, September 4, 2013. Possibly a Something out of a Nothing. I am at a coffee shop, drinking coffee at nearly 10pm. I will sleep tonight and it will be great, I promise. The caffeine doesn't affect me the way it affects normal human beings. See, I never finished college. Anyway, I w...

Elise's Pieces: A blog about everything: December 2013
http://cafeshoplover.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html
Tuesday, December 31, 2013. I get overwhelmed by the amounts of things I need to do. I procrastinate to the very last day so that I'll have to clean the house, read the Bible, read a book, draw a comic, make a journal and post it for sale on Etsy, create an art journal page, work, freewrite, and write a blog post all in one day. And then I'm like, "Hmm, I guess I'll just watch a movie.". So, that leads to resolution -. 10 Do things in a timely manner. 8 Freewrite for 10 minutes a day. Links to this post.

Monday, March 18, 2013. Spring Break: No Use Crying Over Spilled Milk. Spring break wasn't much of a break for me. I keep reminding myself that I'm going to go on vacation in May, I just have to wait for that. Besides, this gives me a lot more time to save up money to help pay for the trip. I've a list of things I still plan to do before May 10:. Pay Dad the $33 I owe him for updating the tags on the car. Go to eye doctor. Get contacts and a new pair of glasses. Decide on a haircut. Thursday, March 6, 2014. Sewing and Stitchery Expo 2014 - Puyallup, WA. My sisters and I traveled to Puyallup, Wa, on February 28th to stay a couple of days and experience the Sewing Expo. My sisters, Ami and Jennie, are both big on sewing-type things. I'm more of a paper crafter. I went mostly for the fun. It was an exciting trip. I was sick with a cold the entire time. That was almost a week ago and the sickness is still hanging on. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). I'm 28 years old, a Ch...
