La Mariposa is Spanish for The Butterfly and it is easy to see why when you visit this lovely oasis in the foothills of the Sierra Espuna mountains south west of Murcia the countryside is full of the fluttering beauties. Owned by Mark and Samantha Langton and run with their son Tom, they offer a “hospederia (which translates into rural hotel)”. Completed the hard grade walk today, Total of 14.3 KM and approx 6 hours to complete, Special well done to keith who still managed to complete the walk with a dodgy hip. This was the hardest walk on the walking calender and NOT for the faint hearted so well done to all that completed the walk.
