She sews by the seashore…. Skip to primary content. Things I’ve Made…. Not a city girl anymore… Sydney Jacket by Tessuti Fabrics. July 18, 2015. I expected to love this more… maybe it will grow on me – never say never. I can take a little longer to fall in love or warm to things… so I’m trying to be patient (not one of my finer qualities). Styled to death🙂 because that’s how I roll. This is the Sydney Jacket. I love the shorter sleeves, it’s very cool layering piece. I think a slightly heavier or more t...

CarmencitaB: Burda Rosa E2
http://www.carmencitab.com/2015/03/burda-rosa-e2.html
I think I've said everything you need to know about the construction of this jacket in my previous post. 22 mars, 2015. 25 mars, 2015. Tu vas attendre longtemps! Et av...

Yes I Like That. Parka of glory – McCalls 6531. November 25, 2014. Behold the greatest thing I have ever sewn:. Okay so it’s not a real parka – it doesn’t have a proper fishtail and it isn’t lined. You probably couldn’t wear it on a scooter down to Brighton without your fellow mods laughing at you. But I’m really proud of it all the same. This has been a long time in the making. I bought the fabric more than two years ago. And the pattern and notions (it’s McCalls 6531. Excellent timing as usual. The len...

Sewing, quilting, dressmaking and the odd recipe too. Handmade 365 wardrobe 2014. London Quilt and fabric shops. August 8, 2015. August 8, 2015. It’s finished and binding all done. I love the dark blues and greens of Denyse Schmidt’s fabrics. The super dark blue is a fabulous Paul Smith shirting from Fabrics Galore. A close up of the free motion quilting on the front, the Janome 6600p. Made life so much easier than my machine. I loved the Ikea fabric. For backing and can totally see why everyone uses it!
