A brilliant idea that would result in my Mother's undivided attention.I would fake a terrible tricycle accident (I realize now that there wasn't much I could have done with a tricycle in the back yard, but come on, I was three! I thought that she would come running out of the house yelling "Oh Honey! But instead all I heard was the sternest of motherly voices yelling "What are you doing! I was busted and ever since then, my parents are careful to take me too seriously.

Saturday, March 25, 2006. Notes For Test Two! This is the review we made in class on Friday, be sure to look at your other notes because this is only half of the test! Mantra- line repeated so often you are put into a trance. Iamb- unit of meter, unstressed syllable followed by a stressed syllable. Blank verse- lines of iambic pentameter with no end rhymes. Paradox- statement that is self contradictory (Look at John Donne's Sonnet "Batter my heart, three-personed God"). Assonance- repitition of vowels.
