Etcetorize: 10/1/14 - 11/1/14

http://etcetorize.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html

Friday, October 31, 2014. If you're a fellow blogger you're probably wondering what's taken me so long to get into the Christmas spirit. If you're someone who just reads blogs, you're probably thinking it's Halloween today? Why is she making Christmas projects? But here in Blogland it's been Christmas for quite some time, so I thought I better get with it. Here's what you need to make your own quick and easy Christmas luminaries:. Mod Podge and sponge brush. Cutting machine or scissors/craft knife. 5) If...

http://etcetorize.blogspot.com/2014/12/last-make-it-monday.html

Sunday, December 28, 2014. Last Make it Monday. If you found time to link up last week, make sure to drop by Donna's. To see if she featured your project. Blogging everyday for over 5 years is a very hard habit to break, but the time has come for me to devote some of my time to other interests. I hope to still post from time to time, when I have something to share but otherwise things will slow down here at Etcetorize. This means that this will be the last Make it Monday party. 28 December, 2014. Subscri...

Etcetorize: Summer Drink Umbrella - ella - ella - ellas

http://etcetorize.blogspot.com/2011/06/summer-drink-umbrella-ella-ella-ellas.html

Friday, June 17, 2011. Summer Drink Umbrella - ella - ella - ellas. What's the best way to dress up a summer drink and make you feel like you're somewhere other than your backyard? Turn up the Rhianna and add an umbrella to your glass! Kidding, you can skip the Rhianna but a little drink umbrella never hurt anyone. And to top it off, it's a super fast craft that helps you use up those pieces of scrap paper you know you've been saving for who knows what. Here's what you need:. 2) Cut out your circles.

Etcetorize: Extra Special Obi Belt

http://etcetorize.blogspot.com/2011/02/extra-special-obi-belt.html

Friday, February 4, 2011. Extra Special Obi Belt. It's been awhile since I've done a sewing project with you so today's the day! I think one of the most flattering belts out there is the Obi belt. Not only are they pretty, but they're super simple to make. Today I made one from scratch and added some extra special embellishments just to take it to the next level. This is going to seem like a long tutorial, but trust me, it's a very easy project. Here's what you need:. And a sewing machine. 2) Cut two pie...

Prairie Scraps: February 2014

Wednesday, February 26, 2014. MOPS: Homemade First Aid Kit. We decided to use a health theme for this week's MOPS topic. I've been wanting to make First Aid Kits in MOPS for awhile, but never found the right topic or could figure out how to keep it under budget. We did it! I asked a couple of the ladies in my MOPS group to help me out (we were doing a fundraiser the same week) by asking some of our local businesses to donate First Aid Kit supplies. I was so pleasantly surprised by their generosity! 6 - 2...

A window into my outlet- anything that I feel like trying! Friday, March 9, 2012. I've decided to keep a blog for my weight loss efforts- Silly Walking. Mostly I'm planning on talking about the things I discover while I try to lose weight, things I see while exercising and lots of talk about yummy food! Go check it out! This blog will be updated normally, a.k.a. whenever I do something crafty. See previous post.). Tuesday, March 6, 2012. My dad did the Goofy Challenge this year and (survived) did great!

Craft Mad

http://craftymad.blogspot.com/2012/05/last-year-my-learn-one-new-skill-every.html

A window into my outlet- anything that I feel like trying! Thursday, May 24, 2012. Last year my 'learn one new skill every year' goal was to learn how to sew. I quickly discovered that not only am I crap at following sewing instructions, but I like to cut corners (haha, bad pun alert! Not a good habit for sewing. My second discovery was that my Goodwill store sold its dresses for $5 each, and I could pull a New Dress A Day. On an ugly dress in far less time and with far more flattering results. I want a ...

Craft Mad: February 2012

http://craftymad.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html

A window into my outlet- anything that I feel like trying! Tuesday, February 14, 2012. Silk polka dot cowl. Happy Valentine's Day to those of you in relationships! My Valentine's day wasn't so fun (I had a presentation and three hours of homework to do, in addition to being single), except for the part at the end where one of my friends had her baby today! That was exciting. :). Also, I made a cowl based on this one. Tuesday, February 7, 2012. Used scrap fabric and unused materials from other crafts.

Craft Mad: Clothes and Crafts

http://craftymad.blogspot.com/2012/11/clothes-and-crafts.html

A window into my outlet- anything that I feel like trying! Tuesday, November 20, 2012. I am bad at blogging- my last entry is from May. Whoops! I'm one of those. Bloggers who don't even attempt to follow a schedule. In my defense, and in many of theirs, this is because of being a university student. Not that that's stopped me from crafting and sewing in general. I have done a lot of crafts, the main problem is that the blogging process adds a considerable amount of time to the process. This one was just ...

Craft Mad: November 2011

http://craftymad.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html

A window into my outlet- anything that I feel like trying! Sunday, November 13, 2011. And today I went! There's an audio tour that I didn't do but will in the spring- it was very crowded today! Also, it would be fun to take my sketchbook and draw some. Such a beautiful museum, and it's almost in my backyard! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Craft Mad: October 2011

http://craftymad.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html

A window into my outlet- anything that I feel like trying! Saturday, October 29, 2011. Monday, October 17, 2011. War Eagle Craft Fair. The actual War Eagle Mill, the epicenter and about 1/25th of the total craft fair. This past weekend was the famous War Eagle Craft Fair near where I live. The nutshell version is this short news clip from a local channel:. I see so many future projects laying there on my blanket, and since today and tomorrow are fall break I can work on some of my ideas. Most of the time...

Craft Mad: September 2011

http://craftymad.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html

A window into my outlet- anything that I feel like trying! Monday, September 19, 2011. Crochet Along and renovations. Still over at Maybe Matilda's doing the crochet along! I am going to have one fluffy cowl in a few weeks! Personally, I think that if the farmer's almanac is to be believed regarding the severity of the coming winter (worst on record last year and this one is supposed to be worse. Then no amount of fluffy is too fluffy! So all is well. See you later for another update! Not finishing proje...

Etcetorize

Monday, May 23, 2016. It's been a long time and I've missed Etcetorize so much! I miss the creative and supportive community of blogging, but I just don't find that I have the time anymore for the huge commitment that a sewing a crafting blog requires. Sonow I'm focusing on something different and something that I love just as much as sewing and crafting.READING! Will focus on everything to do with books and reading! Etcetorize Reads includes fun things like:. Links to this post. Sunday, March 29, 2015.

Friday, September 19, 2014. Easy Peasy Kitchen Mat. My kitchen is the only room in my house that I haven't painted or renovated in any way. Just the thought of doing a kitchen overwhelms me completely.so instead I just added a new mat to add some colour to the space using my new FolkArt Stencils and Paints. Here's what I got in the mail the other day! With just some tape, a couple of placemats, a couple of sponge applicators, and some paint sealer, I was set to go. The different finishes are really great.
