Last night, I got an SMS message from a team member telling me that he won't be able to come in to work. His sister had just passed away. I'm not good in this kind of situation. Didn't know how to react, or what to say to comfort this friend. I just told him to not worry about work and take a needed time off. Why can't I wake up early to enjoy the calm, cool morning breeze?

Eternal Darkness of the Mindless Spot. Wednesday, May 19, 2010. Living in the moment. It's May 20, 2010 4:40AM now and I'm at the office. I'm at my 22nd waking hour. I'm bored and definitely sleepy. After living in the moment, what happens when or after the moment has passed? Should we allow reasoning, logic, and rationality to override the decisions we made while living in the moment? Should we again subject ourselves to the judgement of perceived norms? Or can we go on and stay in the moment forever?
