Lost Rambling: November 2006
http://lost-rambling.blogspot.com/2006_11_01_archive.html
Lost has a lot of potential, but doesn’t apply himself. Monday, November 13, 2006. The other day fortunately for me, Dr. Richard Bartle posted Pointless Killing. While I would like to think that Dr. Bartle had read my post suggesting that I feel that current MMO game design isn’t ready for dynamic content. Many other people warn of trading one grind for another, which is something that I’ve warned others of also What's in a name? That which we call a time sink by any other word would take just as long.

Lost has a lot of potential, but doesn’t apply himself. Tuesday, August 01, 2006. Add another growth ring. So today/tonight has been guilty pleasures. After monday’s misery of heat and humidity, also the that I had the day off and didn’t want to melt into a puddle of sweat in my apartment, I turned on the air conditioner. 8) Another one of those guilty pleasures, tv and watching Rock star: Supernova. Posted by Lost @ 7:34 PM. I am just a player with opinions and you know what they say about opinions.

Lost Rambling: June 2006

Lost has a lot of potential, but doesn’t apply himself. Monday, June 26, 2006. Massively Multiplayer Online Round Table. Has an interesting set of articles about crafting within MMOs (I use set since the articles were written independently of one another about the same subject). As always, I don’t claim to know the right answer. But I do enjoy being challenged to reevaluate my views on MMO design, because without being able to see both sides of the discussion you will not develop any new ideas. Or *GASP*...

Lost Rambling: September 2006

Lost has a lot of potential, but doesn’t apply himself. Sunday, September 24, 2006. Dynamic content, what will it require of game design? I haven't had much chance to post anything as of late. Things at work have been pretty crazy, then again it could be questioned if it was every sane to start with, but I digress. ;). Brian Psychochild Green has thrown down the gauntlet. From that thread I’m going try and focus in on one area. If we want to continue using levels/skills. Maybe we can have island chai...

Lost has a lot of potential, but doesn’t apply himself. Tuesday, May 30, 2006. Lack of something to say. I haven’t had much to say as of late, not due lack of sources of things to comment on, between announcements, E3, and who can forget some of the stupid comments made. (*cough* $600 is to cheap. Or NCSoft questioning returning to next year E3. Cough*) But Woody at GUComics. Does such a good job it’s hard to add much other than have a good laugh. Had it’s own fly and was going to join the Horizons fly.

Lost Rambling: October 2006

Lost has a lot of potential, but doesn’t apply himself. Monday, October 16, 2006. Just a matter of time? Raph posted this today "Here come the tax men! With this with this from the Yahoo's article. Right now we're at the preliminary stages of looking at the issue and what kind of public policy questions virtual economies raise - taxes, barter exchanges, property and wealth," said Dan Miller, senior economist for the Joint Economic Committee of the U.S. Congress. While I'm no fan of RMT. The defendant, Ca...

Lost has a lot of potential, but doesn’t apply himself. Monday, July 24, 2006. Sherman: "Gee, Mr. Peabody. Did we travel back to October 2005? I just heard someone say that Horizons. Mr Peabody: "No Sherman. We never stepped into the WABAC machine. Horizons has been sold again.". I'm not that old, but I'm sure many of us have seen the cartoon at some point and this popped into my head. Also the image three guys standing around with t-shirts Artifact Entertainment. Lost Rambling: April 2006
http://lost-rambling.blogspot.com/2006_04_01_archive.html
Lost has a lot of potential, but doesn’t apply himself. Sunday, April 30, 2006. So what is my point? While expansion help the company’s profits and maybe even draw in some new players, what does it do to those players that are on the fence? Also what impact does it have on drawing in new players when you consider how much they will have to spend so much to buy all the expansions just to get up to speed? Posted by Lost @ 10:09 AM. Sunday, April 16, 2006. Maybe Dear MMORPG Industry? There are times when I ...

Lost has a lot of potential, but doesn’t apply himself. Monday, December 25, 2006. Posted by Lost @ 9:56 PM. Wednesday, December 06, 2006. Has it been that long? I always seem surprised at the amount of time that passes between posts (could be in part due to more poor sense of time passage). To a certain degree I have been trying to find my inspiration/motivation again and dealing with work. I will end this post with pointing out this post by Scott Jennings: I Paid For This Chat Channel!
