We have to be home before dark. On the way out a teenage boy said “I’m a student, but I have nothing to write with. I gave him a 20p biro from Paperclix and he held it like I’d just given him the crown jewels. Job well done so celebratory beers and get prepared for tomorrow, apparently it’s going to be chaos!

Wednesday, October 14, 2009. Back in Hosanna today, on the way I had shock number 2. There was a dead man lying in the road, he wasn’t there yesterday so I guess he’d just been hit by a truck (there are no cars around here, people can’t afford them). Children were walking past him on their way to school. By lunchtime we’d seen 100 people, and I’d even managed a telephone interview with Channel 103 in Jersey! Few beers and we’re shattered. Another town to visit tomorrow – do we have to? Week 2 part 1.

Wednesday, October 14, 2009. Tuesday 29th September 2009. After a one hour drive we arrived in Hossana. It’s a busy town, children lead cattle and donkeys carrying tanks of water and branches, bit of a different way of sorting the kids’ breakfast than what I am used to. There are people everywhere. People kept coming and coming, 140 patients done and it was 4pm, we had to pack up and leave. Fortunately we’re back there tomorrow, 137 people have already registered to see us! Week 2 part 1.
