Peter A Kidd - A Father's Eyes: A Walk On The Lighter Side
http://afatherseyes.blogspot.com/2009/12/walk-on-lighter-side.html
Peter A Kidd - A Father's Eyes. A transforming journey through the gift of an orphan. Friday, December 11, 2009. A Walk On The Lighter Side. This video was taken from within our bus, moments after we struck and killed a small cow (originally reported to be a goat). Now my PETA brothers and sisters may think us heartless, but I'm sorry, this was hilarious and provided a much needed reprieve from the heart breaking scene we experienced at the Kumbolcha Care Point facility:. Peter A Kidd - A Father's Eyes. A transforming journey through the gift of an orphan. Saturday, December 5, 2009. Ethiopian Orphan Project Day 5. Greetings from Addis Ababa Ethiopia! 1) Babies. They had three of them there and they are not equipped to handle these babies (no diapers, no formula ) can you imagine? Why aren't they angry at God? No musical equipment except the sound of their voice and a small drum - yet they filled the room with as much (or more) worship as any 6 piece praise band? A Christ...

Peter A Kidd - A Father's Eyes. A transforming journey through the gift of an orphan. Friday, December 25, 2009. A Christmas Story - Part I. Each Christmas brings with it a story that is often told yet rarely truly heard - a story of an adopted baby (adopted by his father Joseph) who came into the earth in the most humble of circumstances, yet ultimately proved Himself to be the Light of the world. Peter A Kidd - A Father's Eyes: Day TWO
http://afatherseyes.blogspot.com/2009/12/day-two.html
Peter A Kidd - A Father's Eyes. A transforming journey through the gift of an orphan. Wednesday, December 2, 2009. This blog update is coming from my phone while lying under a mosquito net deep in the heart of Ethiopia so please excuse the brevity. Today was spectacular, comical, heartbreaking, treacherous, educational and humbling all mixed together - a cocktail of emotions, of which words alone can not describe, which left a bitter sweet taste in my mouth and left me wanting more. One beautiful little ...
Peter A Kidd - A Father's Eyes: November 2009
http://afatherseyes.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
Peter A Kidd - A Father's Eyes. A transforming journey through the gift of an orphan. Sunday, November 29, 2009. I absolutely love listening and learning about people and getting a deeper understanding of what makes them tick, what they love, what they hate. To me, there's no better way to spend an evening with friends. I quietly read my card to myself at the dinner table (. What do you want out of 2009? What do want out of 2009? During 2009 I want to be more comfortable being uncomfortable." I said.

Peter A Kidd - A Father's Eyes: Home Sweet Home
http://afatherseyes.blogspot.com/2009/12/home-sweet-home.html
Peter A Kidd - A Father's Eyes. A transforming journey through the gift of an orphan. Wednesday, December 9, 2009. We left our guest house in Addis Ababa at 10:30 am yesterday, and I arrived home at about 10:30 am today. A 24 hour trek that was about as smooth and uneventful as I could have possibly hoped - a sharp contrast to the exciting twists and turns that we experienced abroad. I don't want to think about feeling the bones protruding through the skin of the kids at Grace Baptist Church in Kumbulcha.

K, this is turning into the whole wheat chronicles, I know, but I’m sure it will wear off soon. Today’s treats: fresh hot bread and cookies (we made those last night). On Mar 27, 2011 in Food. O we broke our streak of p-foods. But these waffles are good! We were all pleasantly surprised how excellent these hard whole wheat waffles are! UPDATE: I used this waffle recipe, with the 100% whole wheat variation, and substituted maple syrup for the sugar. On Mar 23, 2011 in Food. On Mar 22, 2011 in Firsts.

Unconventional Family
A journey to creating a family. Lilypie Waiting to Adopt tickers. Monday, October 17, 2016. Well this will be short and to the point. I stopped my Bulgarian adoption for a couple of reasons. 1.) there did not seem to be an end in sight 2.) my current children in my home need more attention than I originally anticipated. It just didn't seem fair to my current children to have to spend so much time with a new orphanage child. Tuesday, December 1, 2015. Monday, July 20, 2015. It's hard to update an adoption...

Just another WordPress.com site. Cultural differences and similarities between Ireland and Ethiopia. Another similarity I find is both nationalities are non-confrontational. However they deal with it differently. In Ireland we use banter or in-house jokes to blow off steam rather than face a person directly. In Ethiopia they use intermediaries as a go-between the two bickering parties. It seems to work for them though! Photo shows a student parliament in Jatoo school. On May 9, 2012 in Uncategorized.
