My year of baking and pastry at vcc. January 29, 2015. Next week I start my work experience. I am both terrified and excited to finally join the workforce. The location is a small, family friendly bakery that mainly caters to families with young children. Given that I have three children of my own it is a natural fit. I will miss my classmates and the opportunity to just experiment with ingredients and techniques, but I am also looking forward to my next adventure! The Evolution of Wedding Cakes.

In addition to having a shorter school week we were also tasked with producing 200 small desserts in 2 days. Fortunately, my group was only responsible for 60 items.
