Happy news: chanaleh
http://chanaleh.livejournal.com/341320.html
I am remiss in not yet having posted here what I noted on Facebook almost 2 weeks ago. We're expecting in late July. It's a girl. So, 26 weeks today. I'm happy to say that I've been feeling very well all along and that everything seems to be progressing well and properly. The next ultrasound won't be til after the 28-week appointment, but here are the 20-week ultrasound scans I posted to Facebook (the annotations are the real ones made by the ultrasound tech):. One year: chanaleh
http://chanaleh.livejournal.com/340482.html
I meant to acknowledge this (here and not just on Facebook) closer to the occasion, but. two Saturdays ago, Valentine's Day, was our first wedding anniversary. So we saw Chamber of Secrets. Anniversarygeekaway). and then the majority of the Saturday Night Live. The thing was, as I said to. Once we got there: it's kind of a big deal for me to reach the first anniversary and be able to know that I still feel overjoyed and contented and thrilled about everything. "Yeah, I actually wondered about that," ...

Spring is here!: chanaleh
http://chanaleh.livejournal.com/341175.html
Well, it might be. This was the first morning that I walked outside, smelled the air, and thought Yes. Mind, the confluence with the first morning* of DST does seem a little jarring: strictly speaking, the morning was actually darker than it had been on Friday. But still somehow brighter, because warmer? Or, perhaps it's that I got to see more of the sunrise again, which I'd been enjoying a month or two ago. Anyway, so, it makes me happy, even if it depresses. Got ready for me back in September. Quote fr...

Snowstorm this weekend: chanaleh
http://chanaleh.livejournal.com/339565.html
I got you, babe. The snow started Saturday evening and continued through this morning. Forecast total of 10-14" (not sure how that translated to reality, but. S weather gauge measured 7.5 inches as of 10am Sunday morning, and it's been snowing pretty continuously since). So I got over my East Coast blizzard envy from watching everyone's snow days last week. :-). Work: Still open, but half-hour delay! Snow: *continues falling in inch-wide flakes*. Nephew: Hey, I shoveled your car out. Boss: Um, maybe?

Twenty years ago tonight...: chanaleh
http://chanaleh.livejournal.com/331811.html
Headed out to celebratory dinner momentarily :-). Twenty years ago tonight. I attended, along with my mom, the wedding of a dear friend I'd known since grade school. And sometime during the reception, my mom looked around the room, spotted a cute and geeky-looking guy with glasses and long dark wavy hair, nudged me and said, "He looks like your type, why don't you go dance with him? I said, "I'm not going to go introduce myself to some strange guy! She said, "Well, if you. Won't go talk to him, I. NB: Cr...

Places I slept in 2014: chanaleh
http://chanaleh.livejournal.com/338694.html
Places I slept in 2014. I've never bothered with this meme, but since this is almost certainly the longest list I will ever have for a single year, and it makes for a nice year-in-review, I'll try it. ;-). Somerville, MA (rang in 2014 chez. Boston, MA (Arisia). Lexington, MA (chez. Cambridge, MA (wedding weekend). Manchester, VT (mini-moon). Malden, MA (chez. Brookville, PA (waypoint with U-Haul). Spring Green, WI (kicking off Epic Road Trip Honeymoon). Interior, SD (Badlands Interior Campground). NB: Cr...

Fangirl squee du jour x2 (and not): chanaleh
http://chanaleh.livejournal.com/333116.html
Fangirl squee du jour x2 (and not). 1) Those of you who have heard me talk about the annual Popcorn Festival. In my hometown (the Saturday after Labor Day)? This year's headline band is the Spin Doctors. I am so there! Isn't impressed, but hey, he wasn't going to get within 10 miles of the Fest anyway.). 2) Robert Downey Jr. Started a legit personal Twitter feed. Back in April. Somehow, I only just found out about it this week. Seriously. Days - and then particularly Dead Poets Society. Post a new comment.
