Thursday, January 27, 2011. So much to do, so little time. Farewell to sleep. Hello coffee! I like what Piper has to say about sleep:. The human heart does not replenish itself with sleep. The body does, but not the heart. We replenish our hearts not with sleep, but with the Word of God and prayer. January 27, 2011 at 12:19 AM. January 27, 2011 at 4:24 AM. I like coffee. and that quote. and this post. Wahhhhhhh only a few months left in Irvine then goodbye forever! January 27, 2011 at 10:15 AM.

From the Prodigal: The Light in Darkness.
http://prodigalharada.blogspot.com/2012/12/the-light-in-darkness.html
Thursday, December 6, 2012. The Light in Darkness. Darkness, in fact, is not the opposite of light; it is the absence of light. A blind man does not see the color black; he simply does not see. The radiant presence of the Saviour, therefore, not only shines bright but also brings the dead to life. The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light, those who dwelt in a land of deep darkness, on them has light shone." -. Excerpt from the Village Church's Advent Guide 2012- GET IT.

http://prodigalharada.blogspot.com/2011/01/comfort-kills.html
Thursday, January 20, 2011. Being comfortable is easy too. I mean, no one wants to be uncomfortable. Last quarter I had all this back pain from sitting hunched over. Lying down didn't help. Sleeping in the fetal position with my knees hugged to my chest didn't help. Even doing "child's pose" (which usually relieves some tension. Yoga ftw, sorry Mohler.) didn't help. So I went to the masseuse. Discomfort alleviated. How do we fight this? How do we tell our lost friends about their need for a Saviour?

Tuesday, September 25, 2012. Just finished reading "Give Me This Mountain"an autobiography by Dr. Helen Roseveare. Such an honest portrait of not only the life and heart of a missionary, but of a Christian. So encouraging. If Christ be God and died for me, then no sacrifice can be too great for me to make for Him. Now to read the second book, "He Gave us this Valley"! September 25, 2012 at 2:57 PM. Omg I want to read that book. It sounds amazing! Miss ya trace. Love your blog. 3. Dating Advice from Paps.

Friday, April 26, 2013. Huge Healthy. Holy? As some of you might know from my post on Instagram, after many years of hesitation and fear, I have finally signed up for my first sprint triathlon! But what does that mean. Each time Christians run marathons, do they need to be raising money for some cause? Are workouts primarily for those preparing for missions trips in rural areas? Is exercise only good for sermon metaphors and illustrations? Whose health is most holy? Is Body Gospel what it's all about?

From the Prodigal: Let's Go!
http://prodigalharada.blogspot.com/p/lets-go.html
John Piper has famously categorized Christians into 3 groups when considering missions: zealous goers, zealous senders, and disobedient. I have been collecting recyclables to raise some of the support I will need to go to Uganda. At about $0.05 a bottle it's going to take a while to reach my goal, but it has helped me be more active in my sending. Every time I finish a Gatorade at swim practice or see water bottles in my sisters' cars I immediately think, "Here we go, Africa! 3) Buy My Stuff. I've been p...

Thursday, September 6, 2012. Funny stories about the missionary kids and their obsession with the topic of kissing, and many, many accounts of how God is working in Uganda and using the Hurleys there. And finished off with a little more construction on the new elementary school set to open in February. Despite the intense schedule, especially at the youth conference (think Mt. Hermon on steroids), we were able to participate and serve well and with good attitudes! Will give thanks to the. Caused his wond...
