The Ramblings and Ravings of the Last Sane Mind in my Head. In the Interest of Stirring the Pot. Heath Ledger was wonderful in the Dark Knight. He doesn't deserve the Oscar. He wasn't the best actor in that film. All praise Aaron Eckhart. 3 comments so far. July 26, 2008 at 1:54 PM. Aaron Eckhart is a Mormon. I give him NOTHING. July 27, 2008 at 10:10 AM. Aaron Eckhart is cool. I disagree, but you know that ;). July 31, 2008 at 5:34 PM. You respect and you fear this. You WORSHIP IT!

The Ramblings and Ravings of the Last Sane Mind in my Head. If I hear the name Edward Nygma one more time I swear to Fucking God.", and other outbursts I've made while gazing into the eyes of the internet. I can be a victim of hype like anyone. I was excited to see The Dark Knight. As much as anyone, anticipating it with bated breath in October. I've probably pushed Disney's The Princess and The Frog. Harder than anyone outside of The Disney Studios, for which I assume I will be recompensed at some point.

The Ramblings and Ravings of the Last Sane Mind in my Head. Some of you may have heard of this project, some may have not:. My fellow conspirator over at the Wiry Libertine and I have long held, as our sacred goal, the desire to watch every Disney Animated Feature ever made, and then categorically rank and score them. We have begun this massive undertaking here. I've said it Before, And I'll Say It Again. I have faith in Disney. Why this succinct yet profound declaration of love? Ewwwww, Disney placenta!

This Year, Sudan: August 2007
http://thisyearsudan.blogspot.com/2007_08_01_archive.html
This Year, Sudan. Saturday, August 25, 2007. Like monkeys in the garden. A negative HIV test being a requirement for working in Sudan, today was the special day we overseas-hire teachers were supposed to report to the "Aliens' Registration Office" downtown. We had been warned: it will take hours. Bring a book, and water, and even food. The Sudanese bureaucracy is inefficient, they told us. Just be patient. We file inside in silence. Our colleagues have come and gone. I struggle to breathe evenly ...After...

A Conspiracy of Cartographers: Schtammelbachspike
http://questmap.blogspot.com/2008/06/schtammelbachspike.html
A Conspiracy of Cartographers. I don't believe in it, anyway. Monday, 30 June 2008. So now on to some cool, quirky bits of Germany, now that I've probed the scary parts. Everyone rides bikes in Germany, including a five year old kid we saw today. Everyone has a way of impersonating different languages with jibberish - if I were to try to imitate French without actually speaking any french words, I'd say something like:. Oh la la bou rapapla (phlegmy throat noise) toi. Said as nasally as possible). So my ...

A Conspiracy of Cartographers: Undiscovered Country
http://questmap.blogspot.com/2008/07/undiscovered-country.html
A Conspiracy of Cartographers. I don't believe in it, anyway. Sunday, 6 July 2008. And the brand names and the strip malls. I'm sorry. I flew into Newark. It's not the best first impression of America. I was suddenly reminded by the Jersey Turnpike how much New Jersey resembles Bosnia. So I'm taking a quick hiatus from reporting on and analysing my life in a narrative format, but I'll continue again with a blog about senior year - it'll probably start up mid august, if any of you are interested. Welcome ...

A Conspiracy of Cartographers: The Eye of a Needle
http://questmap.blogspot.com/2008/06/eye-of-needle.html
A Conspiracy of Cartographers. I don't believe in it, anyway. Sunday, 29 June 2008. The Eye of a Needle. Recently, gas prices have become so bad that airlines have changed their back policies, from allowing two bags to go from Europe to America, down to one. This posed a large problem for me, since I'd packed with two bags, counting on having that extra 23 kg of kapow to keep me going. I still don't know what to make of England being gone. I have one final visit back to Heathrow, and then I leave for...

The Pier Glass: Murder with Your Malted
http://thepierglass.blogspot.com/2009/04/murder-with-your-malted.html
Wednesday, April 22, 2009. Murder with Your Malted. So, as many of my loyal readers know, I've just recently started a new(ish) job. I've been working as a circulation monkey. By Jerome Barry, for The Crime Club of Doubleday, Doran and Co. I mean, truly, how outstanding is that? And that's not even considering its summary! Which is so outstanding, I'm rewriting it here for your enjoyment:. Did you read that? A SODA JERK NARRATOR with UP-TO-THE-MINUTE BROADWAY SOPHISTICATION! I have no idea if I will ever...

A Conspiracy of Cartographers: Auslanders!
http://questmap.blogspot.com/2008/06/auslanders.html
A Conspiracy of Cartographers. I don't believe in it, anyway. Sunday, 29 June 2008. And now I'm in Germany. We caught an early bus to Germany, and I ran to the station with my one giant rolling piece of American Tourist luggage, having bought a small pink mobile for myself because that was the cheapest one they had, and wearing four layers of clothing so I didn't have to pack them, on no sleep because I had stayed up all night jetesoning clothes and blankets in order to keep under the weight limit. Decid...
