Sunday, 8 February 2015. Scandi Super Saturday number 1. Last night the Eurovision selection season landed back in our lives with quite a bang (or, more appropriately, a boom. Was back - and it was also the one-stop-shop final of Danish Melodi Grand Prix. And, more to the point - we do! We could. We did. From 9-15 May, with semifinals on 10 and 12 and final on 14 May. The Flag-Waving. Was held on 7 May. Eurovision was held in Düsseldorf. Representing the UK. Saturday, 30 May 2015. Still in love with us. We made it into the BBC News diary again this year (you can see last year's appearance here. Wigs and all). Staying in the same hotel as the entire BBC delegation meant that when we headed downstairs on Saturday morning to depart for the day, neon hands and all, we had quite the audience. Including, in fact, the hotel management themselves. ElectroVelvet fever at the Hilton Vienna Plaza! 12 points for the #ElectroVelvet Fans! We are "still in love with you"!

I saw the torch yesterday. After missing it in Tooting. Not getting to Chelsea Bridge. the blazing sunshine provided a great backdrop to see it by St James Park. On its penultimate day. That really is it. Although massively cherry-on-topped-off by Andy Murray winning the US Open. Really enjoying the Paralympic Games - after the 2 week hiatus post-Olympics it is wonderful to have wall-to-wall sport to watch, follow and enjoy, and of course to head back to the Olympic Park. And you thought I'd be sick of the place by now? Had the privilege of being at the Opening Ceremony. And we're at the Closing Ceremony on Sunday! That'll be on top of the Athletics.
