If you’re not familiar with the WEM Copicat – it’s the tape echo machine invented by Charlie Watkins at the end of the 1950s. Watkins Electric Music still make them – but they seem to be without the tape bit these days. Here’s loads of info. COPICAT – looks good anyway. But why would you want one? December 16, 2012. I stumbled across a great set of articles by Sam Inglis about songwriting the other day, published in Sound on Sound magazine back in the early noughties. Alpha seven’s musings mostly on music. Pete’s blog about music and stuff (aka alpha seven). Apple – rudderless and rich? I made the switch from a Windows XP Dell laptop to a Macbook Pro over 7 years ago – and that Mac is still going strong, tho’ I did put more RAM and an SSD in it. Oh and had to replace the GPU but Apple did that for free. I like the non-Retina Macbook Pros – you could unscrew the base and upgrade bits. Or liked them anyway – there’s just the 13 inch model left. Is it just me?

Alpha seven’s musings mostly on music. Pete’s blog about music and stuff (aka alpha seven). Ergon GP1-S Biokork grips on a Brompton. Around March 2012 I replaced the DREADFUL FOAM GRIPS that came with the Brompton. They may suit some people but I really didn’t like them. I blogged about it at the time and then at some point deleted the post by accident – since they’ve worked so well I thought I’d revisit it. The old foam split ready to remove. Shiny – foam and glue removed. Ergon grips in place.
