Europe 2011: Day 27
http://richardsonseurope2011.blogspot.com/2011/07/day-27.html
A blog about our family holiday to Europe in 2011. Wednesday, July 13, 2011. Although our flight from London to Dubai was fairly short – just over 6 hours, there was a time difference to contend with. According to our body clocks, we landed in Dubai just after 3am, Dubai time was trying to tell us it was after 6am! Shew, we were tired! I clearly don’t cope well on only 3 hrs of dozing time…. And beautiful, full of all the major shopping names from around the world. By this time it was HOT! To be honest I...

Europe 2011: Holiday Round-up

A blog about our family holiday to Europe in 2011. Saturday, July 16, 2011. I loved this holiday, I felt it was just the right mix of busy-busy-busy and kick-back-and-relax. I enjoyed doing a lot of our travelling independently this time, but then the tour came at just the right time and it was so nice to hand over the organisational responsibilities to the tour director. Seeing Colin Firth…. I’m childish like that! Our Paris hotel, it was really. Fete de la Musique in Paris - absolutely awesome evening.

http://richardsonseurope2011.blogspot.com/2011/07/day-28.html
A blog about our family holiday to Europe in 2011. Thursday, July 14, 2011. We got up fairly early and had breakfast before our tour guide picked us up for our 4 hour tour of Dubai city. The guide was a very friendly chap and he took us on a really nice tour. We went onto the palm island and stopped outside the Atlantis hotel,. Got good views of the Burj al Arab. Went to the Dubai museum (much more interesting than I had expected),. As well as the Jumeira mosque,. And saw various other bits and pieces.

A blog about our trip to Europe in 2009. Thursday, July 9, 2009. We woke up at 6am with heavy hearts. I really don’t feel ready for this tour to end yet! We set off for Calais, the drive went so quickly, just one loo stop and then we were at customs. We chatted to Gerry as we waited in the queue. Once through customs it all went very quickly and we said good-bye to Rudy our brilliant driver, and boarded the ferry. The hill-billys come to town in glorious techni-colour…. A very weird and unfortu...N Day14...

http://richardsonseurope2011.blogspot.com/2011/07/day-29.html
A blog about our family holiday to Europe in 2011. Friday, July 15, 2011. I didn’t sleep at all well last night, probably something to do with the fact that I can’t cope with caffeine, but had 2 caffeinated coffees while watching the skiing yesterday ( some people just never. We had an early start as we had to be at breakfast by 06:45. I had a really good breakfast of fruit salad, yoghurt, poached egg with tomato, mushrooms and potato cake and chocolate mousse! I kid you not! And that was that! W Day23 D...

Egyptian Voyager 2010

All about our Trafalgar tour to Egypt in April 2010. Wednesday, April 7, 2010. We woke up in Edfu this morning. We had an early wake-up call and set off on the short bus ride to the temple before breakfast. The temple at Edfu. Is particularly well-preserved, probably because it was buried under desert sand until 1860! There were a series of friezes on a long wall depicting the battle between Horus and Seth which I really loved – as Wael said, it was probably the first cartoon! We had been told that it is...
