52 Things in 52 Weeks: April 2012
http://52thingsblog.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html
52 Things in 52 Weeks. Adventures in search of a more interesting life. Tuesday, 3 April 2012. FreeTheFalkland and the Art of Sockpuppetry. A while back I blogged about the Twitter account @hms dauntless. As it turns out, @freethefalkland was also a parody account. The author subsequently admitted. Wow, a Brit pretending to be an Argentinian pretending to be a Falkland Islander. A sockpuppet of a sockpuppet? It wouldn't be my chosen method of parody - I like people to know that what I'm doing is satire&#...

52 Things in 52 Weeks: October 2011
http://52thingsblog.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
52 Things in 52 Weeks. Adventures in search of a more interesting life. Monday, 31 October 2011. The flashmob was part of the Size of Wales. Project, which aims to raise money to protect an area of rainforest the size of Wales. The concept is a bit of an ironic take on the way, whenever people talk about rainforest destruction, they often make reference to "an area of rainforest the size of Wales" being destroyed. Nice to know we've given the world a unit of measurement. Meanwhile, the postcrossing.

52 Things in 52 Weeks: September 2011
http://52thingsblog.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
52 Things in 52 Weeks. Adventures in search of a more interesting life. Wednesday, 28 September 2011. After the ignominious failure. Of the bothy task at the weekend, I feel I need to get back on track. The next task is Postcrossing. An online postcard exchange scheme. So, yeah, postcards, eh? Sort of like Facebooking someone an image file, except instead of clicking on the image you just turn the card over. And instead of clicking "like" you just, you know, decide whether you like it or not. Dave and Ma...

52 Things in 52 Weeks: FAQ
http://52thingsblog.blogspot.com/p/faq.html
52 Things in 52 Weeks. Adventures in search of a more interesting life. 1 Is this a "things to do before you die" list? No, I intend to carry on living after I've finished. 2 Where did you get the inspiration? I've shamelessly stolen this blog theme from Melissa's 101 Things in 101 Days. Challenge. As you can tell from the title, she's either more hardcore than me, or has more spare time and cash than me, or both. 3 What sort of things will you do? 4 What sort of things won't you do? I don't accept liabi...

52 Things in 52 Weeks: P-P-Pick up a Penguin
http://52thingsblog.blogspot.com/2012/02/p-p-pick-up-penguin.html
52 Things in 52 Weeks. Adventures in search of a more interesting life. Wednesday, 29 February 2012. P-P-Pick up a Penguin. My parody Twitter account hms dauntless has been let out of the brig, though hastily renamed @nothmsdauntless. In order to escape a keelhauling from the Twitter mods. In celebration, and to honour my new Twitter chums in the Falkland Islands, here's some photos of penguins that I took while in Edinburgh Zoo last week. How awesome is that? They stink of fish, mind.

52 Things in 52 Weeks: Visit the Pandas at Edinburgh Zoo
http://52thingsblog.blogspot.com/2012/02/visit-pandas-at-edinburgh-zoo.html
52 Things in 52 Weeks. Adventures in search of a more interesting life. Sunday, 26 February 2012. Visit the Pandas at Edinburgh Zoo. I was in Edinburgh this week, and decided to take the opportunity to go see the pandas. Though I nearly didn't get to as I only realised the day before that you have to pre-book a panda viewing on the Edinburgh Zoo website. Fortunately I managed to get my booking done in time. Christ, pandas sounds like wussy creatures. No wonder they're endangered. Posted by Spirit of 1976.
