Rotary Youth Exchange Gap Year in Taiwan: Mos Burger
http://michelle-taiwan.blogspot.com/2011/02/mos-burger.html
Thursday, February 10, 2011. This is Mos burger. It's nice when you get sick of McDonalds. But all and all, the meat tastes more like meatloaf than a burger; it's more expensive than MCD, it's less filling. The tea is really good though. Mos Burger is actually Japanese, but it's popular throughout asia. It's good. Really. It's just expensive. As a poor exchange student, I can't afford it. February 10, 2011 at 6:12 AM. Mmmm, this looks very good! Do the buns taste the same as in America? I wish I cared ab...

Rotary Youth Exchange Gap Year in Taiwan: Christmas Abroad
http://michelle-taiwan.blogspot.com/2011/02/christmas-abroad.html
Thursday, February 10, 2011. This is a little warning so you will not be so shocked. Taiwanese people don't celebrate Christmas. At all. Don't expect gifts or even anyone to say "Merry Christmas" and expect to go to school. I didn't go to school though. Pfft. Like I would ever. XD Sorry but, come on, it's Christmas. They really enjoyed it and it helped make me feel Christmas was still happening. It was really nice. Picture of me around the Christmas time:. They know I love Taiwanese pizza! They gave me t...

http://michelle-taiwan.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Friday, February 18, 2011. I have taken a break from blogging and I will be back to edit this and add some thoughts on my updated prospective. Monday, February 14, 2011. David's post and update. So to some of you, David's post may seem rather sudden. I know many of you thought it was all fun in the sun with rotary. But actually this has been an ongoing problem. Being a good student and being polite just gets you taken advantage of. I'm not sure. I don't know what their problem is. Not technically illegal...

http://michelle-taiwan.blogspot.com/2011/02/working-hard-in-kaiping.html
Thursday, February 10, 2011. Working hard in Kaiping. I'm so Asian. I'm the only one doing anything in class though. Everyone else is looking at porn on their computers and playing racing video games. And if it's a REALLY lucky day, someone will send me the porn link they are looking at. True story. Everyday. : D. I am such a good exchange student. This is my life here. Oh, looky here, yet another class I go to, yoga class. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Rotary Youth Exchange Gap Year in Taiwan.

Rotary Youth Exchange Gap Year in Taiwan: Being an exchange student
http://michelle-taiwan.blogspot.com/2011/02/being-exchange-student.html
Thursday, February 10, 2011. Being an exchange student. So one day I was eating dinner with my host mother and she informed me that she had steamed a rabbit for me in the rice cooker. I kind of looked at her in shock and thought maybe she had misspoken. I clarified by hopping around and asking if it was that animal. She replied yes with a smile saying how cute they were. I kind of ran to the steamer and then when I saw what what in it. I started laughing. Ah, the miscommunications of being another country.

Rotary Youth Exchange Gap Year in Taiwan: Tour of Kaiping!
http://michelle-taiwan.blogspot.com/2011/02/tour-of-kaiping.html
Thursday, February 10, 2011. Really bad picture, but there aren't really lights so, don't blame me. I look retarded. But that's what being in a dark place for eight hours does to your mind. The floor levels aren't even and there are random stairs everywhere. Exposed piping is everywhere. Because outside is where the paying customers are. First and last time in this class. Can you read the board? Marielle took this picture. Someone died? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). How to use my site:. Sorry but I...

Thursday, February 10, 2011. What happens at school when you're an exchange student. No The teachers here think otherwise, but let's face it, if I don't want to be taken advantage of and teach classes for hours without pay or thanks of any sort, I don't have to. Anyway, here are some pictures of an english class I helped with one day. I love the students. They're so nice. It just keeps getting more and more cute. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
