My Mind | In the Belly of the Whale
https://belly0fthewhale.wordpress.com/2011/05/10/my-mind
In the Belly of the Whale. Alpine – Villages →. May 10, 2011. My mind is a dungeon in mid-air. It’s full of convulsions and disease. It catches me on the ground and buries me in water. It lies to me full of teeth, raspberry breath. My mind is a room with no doors. There are leaks of blood and unpaired rhymes. They come out of me as curls of hair. And the light comes merciful through my eyes. My mind is chaos in a box. It’s hunger swallowing suicide. It raises hurricanes and gives birth. Click to subscrib...

In the Belly of the Whale. Monthly Archives: December 2011. December 13, 2011. I looked in Virginia’s eyes. Just before she died. She was so tamed by freedom. Her skin was so soft. She was a little bit cold. I want to feel that. I want to die as I came. Naked drowning in water. And a little bit of cold. I looked in Virginia’s eyes. I felt all those birds. They were pecking at her chest. I felt her breath so sweet. Her fear was almost gone. Sometimes there’s no fear left in me either. Song for today: Blue.

After Auschwitz, by Anne Sexton | In the Belly of the Whale
https://belly0fthewhale.wordpress.com/2011/09/25/after-auschwitz-by-anne-sexton
In the Belly of the Whale. A pinch in your spine). Enchantress by Norman Lindsay →. After Auschwitz, by Anne Sexton. September 25, 2011. As black as a hook,. Took, at 8: 00 am, a baby. And sauteed him for breakfast. In his frying pan. And death looks on with a casual eye. And picks at the dirt under his fingernail. Man is evil,. Man is a flower. That should be burnt,. Is a bird full of mud,. And death looks on with a casual eye. And scratches his anus. Man with his small pink toes,. Is not a temple.

In the Belly of the Whale. Newer posts →. May 2, 2011. Fear not; wait. For as long as fear is,. You won’t be. For when the day ends. And the birds shrink. And the waters whisper. You’ll have no home;. For even in the sun. You’ll see only darkness. In the dancing cornfields. You’ll see only ashes. In a begging stare. You’ll see only death. Fear not; wait. For waiting opens the eyes,. For love is a wish. You’ll have a shelter. For the rain that cools you. Gives you water to drink. The tides that take.
