Speakin' Up: December 2008
http://colinanderica.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html
Wednesday, December 24, 2008. A Waiting Mother's Heart. I've heard this song on the radio several times now, and I decided that it needed to be shared here. I think it beautifully describes my heart right now (and so many other waiting mothers' hearts). Although Mr. Wonderful and I have not been called to international adoption at this time, I can relate to these lyrics in my own way. I know that it is likely that my child(ren) are in another's arms this Christmas. Merry Christmas, baby! We love you,.
My Wonderful Life: January 2010
http://pagebo.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html
Wednesday, January 13, 2010. We spent Christmas morning at home with Granmama and Beto and then ate dinner with them. Here are just a few pictures of the day. James loves his new car - he plays in it all the time. Nothing like some new dog treats - so exciting. I got a new sewing table, well the promise of a new sewing table. Dave made me a little tiny miniature one out of cardboard and bolts. Very cute. Elizabeth got some stilts - she hasn't really mastered the art of walking with them yet. Elizabeth go...

Friday, December 4, 2009. A Conversation About Sewing. Elizabeth was hanging out with me while I was sewing this week. She came over to me, wearing a regular t-shirt, and we had the following conversation. E: Mommy, why does Granmama sew regular sleeves like this (indicating a full seam sleeve on her shirt) and you always just do ribbon? I have made her several pillowcase dresses which just have ribbon over the shoulder, MUCH easier than a regular sleeve). Me: Because Granmama is a better sewer than me.
Speakin' Up: March 2009
http://colinanderica.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
Monday, March 30, 2009. I HEART my son. Today may have been my first real "initiation" into parenthood. Nate has been battling a cold since the middle of last week. It appeared to improve over the weekend, but then by Sunday afternoon his congestion was worsening. We could hear/feel the rattle in his chest. So I called the nurse at the pediatrician's office, and she agreed that Nate should come in to be checked out. I consulted with my personal nurse on-call, Jennifer. Thank you, friends! Mr Wonderful an...
Speakin' Up: One Step at a Time
http://colinanderica.blogspot.com/2009/11/one-step-at-time.html
Thursday, November 5, 2009. One Step at a Time. Rights were terminated today! We are now one major. Step closer to adopting our little man! What a huge day! I am physically exhausted from all the emotions, and am so thankful to have seen the Lord's hand today in our journey. Thank you, Lord, for this precious little boy squealing with joy as he plays right now. Every good and perfect gift comes from You! And what a wonderful present you gave to exactly 8 months ago today. The super talented, Jennifer.
Speakin' Up: Two Words: Thank HIM!
http://colinanderica.blogspot.com/2009/11/two-words-thank-him.html
Thursday, November 26, 2009. Two Words: Thank HIM! Shout for JOY to the Lord, all the earth. I am overwhelmed this morning with a heart full of gratitude. The Lord is good. He is alive and on His throne! In a world full of inconsistencies, what a blessing that the One in control was, is and will always be LOVE! I am so thankful for all of you - my family, friends, and sojourners on this journey of life! Nate enjoying his 1st Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade! This year I am thankful for NATE! I linked your ...
Speakin' Up: May 2009

Tuesday, May 26, 2009. Mr Wonderful has his hands (or should I say his ears) full now. He has two big talkers living under his roof! One he's known for over 11 years. The other he just met in March. The first is known to have regular conversations with herself. The second is just discovering his voice and coos and squeals like a champ. Could one little guy get any cuter? Side note: If you've never tried talking things through out loud with yourself, I highly recommend it. It can be very healing! Thank yo...
Speakin' Up: February 2009

Friday, February 27, 2009. I'm sorry, Ronda, but I cheated. My bestie, Ronda. And I have this agreement that we will always do our best to tell each other any major news firsthand. In today's technological world, especially now with the blogworld, news spreads fast. But it is extremely important to both of us that we communicate directly with one another. Obviously, the birth of her twins today qualifies as one of these MAJOR events/news. I'm so sorry, Ronda! Evan Charles (5 lbs. 15 oz.). And apparently ...

The Outhouse
Sometimes life can be like an outhouse. Sometimes you make it through, and sometimes you get tipped over. Read on to see who made it through The Outhouse and who got tipped over along the way. Tuesday, December 6, 2011. Twiddling your thumbs, tapping your foot, and counting random objects are all time killers, but they are also fun-factor killers. Throughout my 20 years on planet earth (nearly 21) I’ve learned that patience is a virtue. Waiting can be awkward, painful, and even deadly. But sometimes ...
Music | evan^patrick
Brooklyn, New York. The music of evan patrick is a dusk-to-after hours cityscape stretching from empty industrial lots to sleek glass bedrooms to the rusted black contours of a pontiac firebird. Shadowy vocals weave through a haze of synths before being cut by a wailing guitar solo. Layers of chords and melodies roll over the syncopated pulse of r&b beats in a new neon noir. Raising a Teenager & a new Puppy...OMG | One Mom's stories on the challenges of raising a teenage daughter. Oh.. and a new puppy too.
Raising a Teenager and a new Puppy…OMG. Separation Anxiety, from my dog. September 3, 2010. The other day, I was talking with a friend who was telling me about her evening. She and her. Husband had gone out to dinner and then went to a comedy club. They were having so much fun, that they were thinking of going to a bar after the show but were not sure if they should because they had not let their dog out for about 6-7 hours. To my surprise, they actually debated it! Sometimes when we are ready to go out ...

La historia más corta,. Sin amor, sin gloria,. Sin héroe en su cielo. No puedo quitar mis ojos de ti,. No puedo quitar mis ojos de ti,. No puedo quitar mis ojos de ti,. No puedo quitar mis ojos de ti,. No puedo quitar mis ojos de ti,. No puedo quitar mis ojos…. Y así es,. Tal como dijiste que debía ser,. Y así es,.
