Wednesday, August 8, 2012. I was well intentioned. Facebook is just so convenient. I have however made some changes in my routine. When I step away from the "whirlwind", (what I sometimes say referring to my life over the past several years) things kinda have this slow motion effect. My reality has been full speed, now that it has slowed down, well, that has become the new strange. Oh, I await that season of expression. I will write, and write, and write. Links to this post. I love reading all of the updates from other parents in the process of adopting from Haiti. I just read one which brought tears to my eyes as I experienced that family FINALLY bringing their little guy home. I can only imagine how wonderful that was! I wonder what they will think as they eat their first cheese burger in America!

Although the possibility of under aged prisoners has long been conjectured, Ada Celeste Sweet, daughter of Colonel Benjamin Jeffery Sweet, is the only child documented to have actually lived behind the towering walls of Camp Douglas. Nonetheless, to please his superiors, Sweet moved to Camp Douglas, taking Ada with him. By July 15th, 1864, Colonel Sweet and his daughter had taken up residence within Camp Douglas. [iii].

She's colored my carpet with markers, painted it with yogurt, smushed play-doh into it, and she likes to dump out bags of things like gold fish and cereal, CRUSH, GRIND, and SMASH them into tiny crumbs, then dance their remains into the carpet! Are you getting a nice visual here? But not only was it all over her, you guessed it- the rest of the bottle was dumped ALL OVER THE CARPET!
