Evanston Women's History Project. News and updates from the EWHP. 8220;Lifting as We Climb:” Evanston Women and the Creation of a Community. Come see our new exhibit highlighting the many contributions of Evanston women and women’s organizations to shaping our community. The exhibit runs through February 2011 and can be seen when the Dawes House is open for regular tours, Thursday – Sunday from 1-4 pm. Cost is $10 and includes a tour of the Dawes House. Our first event, called “Shared Streets”, was a great success! On September 1st, 2013,. Was full of happy people thoroughly enjoying their public spaces. From the number of power bars eaten, we estimate a crowd of 2000-2500. Check out this video. From Chicago Sun-Times for some interviews from the day.
