Tuesday, May 11, 2010. Yesterday we had Blue euthanized. My memory of him is dominated by the last hard weeks, especially the most recent days, when he tripped over his left hind leg when he tried to walk, wasn't able to sit, and stopped eating. I think I'm sadder about his suffering in the final days than about him being gone.
