Dave, Carey, Ruby, and Jude. Monday, May 4, 2009. Ruby's surgery is finally behind us! As many of you know, Ruby was born with developmental hip dysplasia- basically, she had no hip sockets. Apparently if you are the first born girl and are born breech, your chances of having this are over 60%. Strange, then, that Dave and I never heard a word of it until the day after Ruby was born when her pediatrican (who we love, love, LOVE! And Ruby was a trooper! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Dave, Carey, Ruby, and Jude. Wednesday, July 15, 2009. The Crocketts hit California. Last week we took Ruby to San Fran for a marathon weekend. She toured the city, visited the San Jose Children's Museum, and played in the ocean at the Santa Cruz boardwalk. Needless to say, she slept like a log on the flight home! Dave, Carey, Ruby, and Jude. Wednesday, April 28, 2010. One woman's everyday tedium is another's monumental accomplishment. . . Last fall, Dave's sister, Sam, gave me this adorable fabric she had designed. Although I'm sure everyone else who got a sampling of the fabrics used them for projects months ago, I just barely finished mine. (The real task was finding a pattern that I thought was worthy of the fabric. :) Aren't they so cute! I'm very proud. Thanks Sam! Saturday, April 24, 2010.

Dave, Carey, Ruby, and Jude. Monday, November 22, 2010. Finally, Some pictures! Okay, so after three weeks we finally remembered to bring our camera out with us! Its all on a hill and covered in trees (which is why you cant see any animals. Well, that and the incredible distance from which I took the picture). This is Ruby at Manly Beach. She actually loves playing in the sand more than in the water and that says a lot because she LOVES playing in the water :). Ah, my cute family . . .

Wednesday, March 31, 2010. Calories In. Calories Out. I loved this article. From Runner's World today. It was so simple. In order to lose weight, look great and stay trim you need to burn more calories than you intake. Done. No gimmicky pills, no funky diets, no quick answers. It's called hard work and eating right. I love it. I'm going for a run. Wednesday, March 24, 2010. Alright, I'm ready. What are you running this year? Tobacco Road Half Marathon. Highly recommend the Tobacco Road Half Marathon.
