Back on the Battlewagon: Sneaky Ratlings
http://backonthebattlewagon.blogspot.com/2015/06/sneaky-ratlings.html
Monday, 8 June 2015. Painted up the first few Ratling conversions. I'm not that happy with how they turned out, to be honest. I tried a few new things out and they kind of back fired in general I think. Fairly disappointed but I'm glad to have them done. These guys are based on some mantic dwarfs (dwarves? With some IG bits mixed in and the sniper rifles are from Anvil Industry, which are just fantastic. Models painted. 46. 8 June 2015 at 11:50. Look pretty good to be honest. 8 June 2015 at 12:17.

Monday, 30 March 2015. The rest of the special weapons squad. And here are the plasma gunner types. On the whole pretty happy with how they turned out. I tried to make them fit in with the regular dudes, but appear a bit more elitey at the same time. Think in hindsight the regular fellas should have some gloves. I mean they are hazardous environment soldiers or somet, and they appear to be massively lacking in PPE. Models Painted. 32. Monday, 23 March 2015. Dr Angry is on his rounds. Monday, 16 March 2015.

Monday, 29 June 2015. An alternative title may have been 'On Ambition Overtakes Skill'. Not sure when this'll actually go up, but I'm writing it in early May, and I am stuck, and I have been stuck for what feels like a couple of weeks. Summer is haltingly beginning and so hobby time is drying up slightly, but that doesn't really help with the fact that I have really struggled to make any tangible progress over recent weeks. Progress with what you say? Here are my failures. Monday, 22 June 2015. I also bu...

Back on the Battlewagon: Longest WIP ever
http://backonthebattlewagon.blogspot.com/2015/06/longest-wip-ever.html
Monday, 22 June 2015. Many, many moons ago, when I were but a nipper I put in an order for random bits and pieces from GW mail order. I picked up a few odds and sods with no real goal. Rule of cool and all that. I only actually started to paint one guy, and I thought that the bold red basecoat was a decent start point. Yes, here is my tech priest dude. I also built a couple of plasma cannon servitors. And here are the team. The colours come out a bit better here. Models painted. 51. The Mad Mek's Workshop.

Monday, 8 June 2015. So this guy has not been promoted to my favourite assassin. I have used him the battle report that I posted earlier and he underperformed a bit, so I'm basing this on looks and overall satisfaction. The brown and blue were adapted from the Culexis, but I think the green worked really well. Is my previous post. It would be right about here that I would add a team assassin photo but I never took one. Naughty me. Models painted. 43. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Goals for the year.

Monday, 1 June 2015. Moderately happy with this guy The blue and browns work quite well, but I think he looks the least 'assassiny' of my merry group of murderous nut jobs. I think that I may do a version 2 of this guy in the future. Is the previous article on him. Models painted. 42. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Monday, 27 October 2014. Creed But not Creed. I kit kitbashed a dude whos gonna be my Creed counts as. I used various Scion bits for this guy. I means that set is brilliant. I figured that Creed and Yarrick are models that cost best part of a tenner each so it made sense to buy a kit that had the potential to build tons of stuff. So I did! Thanks for reading,. Monday, 20 October 2014. So we rolled for missions and deployment and the rest of it. Plus we were using tactical objectives and the like....Ste's...

Monday, 29 September 2014. One More Primaris Psyker. For a bit of a change gave this guy a force axe. It looks a bit oversized cos it came from the old death company set. But hey too late now! This guy has a book. Beware the words! Team photo to end with. Monday, 22 September 2014. My blog that is! I added a blogroll to my blog! I think I'm going to put links to those wonderful people who follow my blog on there, plus a few others that provide kick ass inspiration. Location: Liverpool, Merseyside, UK.

http://backonthebattlewagon.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Monday, 26 January 2015. I'm ploughing through stuff I managed to get done towards the end of last year. I ended up getting some good momentum going. So I have some more Guard. Models painted. 8. Monday, 19 January 2015. This is the final merchant ship that I built, and I decided to push myself compared to the others. I built a recessed cargo area then added a bunch of salt to represent some stuff that is being carried. I dropped on superglue and they eventually held themselves in. Monday, 12 January 2015.

Back on the Battlewagon: November 2014
http://backonthebattlewagon.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Monday, 24 November 2014. Continuing my Assassin building I have a Callidus assassin. This based on a hasslefree miniture, some Lara Croft -esque type person. I added a massive sword and generally made her look more 40k ish. I was going to add a bunch of inquisition symbols and trinkets but I thought that it looked better without all those extra bits. Quite a cool and elegant mini I think. She can also double up as a death cult assassin for that inquisitorial warband that I will get round to one day.
