Monday, August 25, 2008. Just Another Beautiful Hike in Alaska. Well, it's just Julia and me now, and she's leaving on Thursday. We went on one last hike together this last weekend. We did the Crescent Creek Trail, which is a short 6-mile (one way) trail in the Chugach National Forest that ends at beautiful Crescent Lake. We took all of our gear so we could camp by the lake, and crossed our fingers for no rain. We stopped here by Crecsent Creek for a short snack break about 2 miles in. We love the raz!

Sunday, September 14, 2008. Fall and Everything After. Well, I don't have any pictures and there's not much to report. Just wanted to say hi! It is a blast to be out on the trails with the kids every day, even if it is almost always rainy. I'm certainly missing the girls and all the fun times that we always had! And to see my little Frederick, who has no doubt been completely spoiled in my absence thanks to my wonderful parents. Of course, he and Piper are probably BFF by now. I miss alaska. mwhaaaa.

Monday, March 31, 2008. One Week of Super Fun! Wow, the last day of March already! I’ve been here for 2 months. Time is flying! Once summer hits and things get really busy, I’m sure it’ll go even faster. Now I just have to start thinking of what I’m going to do 6 months from now…. Thursday, August 28, 2008. Get Out and Get Dirty Summer Camp. So, all of my chicks have left the nest. It's officially quiet around the bunkhouse, but I'm house sitting for the next week anyway so I won't be around too much. I have to note that although it was cloudy and rainy all summer, the whole week of camp was sunny! Here are Michelle and I with 13 of our 14 campers, all 4th and 5th graders. They were awesome!
