Thursday, April 28, 2011. Highlights of this week include:. Elaina is now eating peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Yeah, I get that this seems kinda lame to some, but seriously - in this house - THIS is BIG news! Lincoln still has his cough but his temperament seems to be washing in a flood of sweetness. I've often said that his maturity and demeanor comes in tidal waves. Recently, some of the defiance has begun to diminish and I'm seeing more smiles, more happy and more hugs. Yes! I'd like a do-over.

Life with our boy. Tuesday, March 27, 2012. I am officially a soccer mom. I have lawn chairs in the back of our mini-van. Our first practice was yesterday, and after a week of 80 degree temperatures, it was FFFFFFreezing. The kids started by kicking the ball around between markers. Then I left Greg with Colin and ran home to get coats. When I got back, Greg ran to defrost in the van and I got to watch the kids. After we were finished Colin asked how much longer he was going to have to play soccer.

Life with our boy. Thursday, January 12, 2012. So we're back to school, work, TKD, and more! It's like the holidays never happened. But we HAVE started our new year out a little differently. Colin started back with Latchkey this winter. His teacher and school counselor suggested it as a good social skill-building tool. And it also means I can get to work earlier and eat lunch again instead of working lunches (which is gonna be a hard habit to break since I love working lunches). Life with the Webbletts.

What I see: toothbrush in mouth, pants around ankles and two hands trying to light a candle with a lighter. Wha? All fire-making implements have been re-hidden and home insurance renewed. I felt bad for his teacher b/c I know what 3pm looks like when my boy has had less than 4 hours sleep. And the energy has been flowing over ever since! Tonight we had to make him run 3 laps of the outside of our house to try to get some booger-ness out of his system. I have to say, though, that it was a really special day for us together.
