DomBlog: May 2007

http://everydaydom.blogspot.com/2007_05_01_archive.html

General thoughts and happenings. Thursday, 17 May 2007. Spiderman, Goya and Leaves of Glass. It has been a busy few weeks since my last post. Sadly my trusty Mazda 323 badly failed its MOT and had to be scrapped. It was a good old workhorse, so it's a bit sad. Still, everything dies in the end, so we should not mourn! Last week we went to see Spider-Man 3. On Poland Street, Soho. They do some great barbecue-style food, including 'pulled pork', which is a bit like how you get duck when you order duck ...

DomBlog: Green Christmas

http://everydaydom.blogspot.com/2007/12/green-christmas.html

General thoughts and happenings. Tuesday, 4 December 2007. So December is upon us. so soon! Winter is a challenging time to stay green, and I'm finding it increasingly difficult to make it through all of 2007 while remaining carbon neutral. With this in mind I've started thinking about Christmas, and how I can green it up a bit. The sheer amount of artificial trees sold before Christmas at DIY centres suggests that people don't keep them forever. So what about real trees? Well, the fact that most. People...

DomBlog: March 2008

http://everydaydom.blogspot.com/2008_03_01_archive.html

General thoughts and happenings. Monday, 31 March 2008. Of course it has been 2008 for some time. in fact, we're now in 'Q2' as sales types like to say in an effort to sound important. It has been a while since my last entry, and for that I apologise. Life has been busy, etc etc. However, I will fill you in on what has been going on as best I can. Hmm I'll have to think about that. Dangerous business if you ask me. The Glastonbury Festival will feature none other than Leonard Cohen this year! I can't wai...

DomBlog: The Future of Genomics

http://everydaydom.blogspot.com/2007/11/future-of-genomics.html

General thoughts and happenings. Friday, 30 November 2007. The Future of Genomics. On Thursday evening I was in Bristol for a public debate on The Future of Genomics. At Expore@Bristol. It was a special event to mark the opening of the new 'Inside DNA' exhibition they have there, and since I've always been interested in genetics I thought I'd go along. DomBlog: Routemasters and Shibboleth

http://everydaydom.blogspot.com/2007/11/routemasters-and-shibboleth.html

General thoughts and happenings. Sunday, 4 November 2007. I was in London over the weekend for a birthday party. A friend was 30 and hired a Routemaster bus to take us (along with a large amount of champagne) to watch the fireworks at Blackheath, then back to Victoria again for a slap-up feed at a Mexican restaurant. Much fun was had, and I don't think I've had quite so much champagne for some time! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Bath, Somerset, United Kingdom. Visit my Web site.

A note for you. I do not want to write the words that I am about to write here. Every part of me wants to believe that I do not need to write them but the past few weeks have proven otherwise. And that’s okay. I have fought a long, exhaustive, and heart-bruising battle with this over the past couple of months. And I think that I have, at last, resolved to accept what I need to do for myself right now as an act of self-care and love. Thank you for helping me to stay determined in life. That’s th...Rain an...

General thoughts and happenings. Wednesday, 9 July 2008. It may have been a couple of months since I got back, but here's my post-Glasto roundup. I think I arrived earlier than I have before. First weren't running the bus from Bath this year (boo! I'd sent my tent up and had a cup of tea by about 1:30pm, so I headed off to find some music. I spent a lot of time at the Small World Solar Stage. Where I caught Crystal Masters (sort of bluesy/country stuff), Celeste Lovick. Who were as good as ever. Mainly t...

Every Day In the Dominican Republic - The Larsons

Wednesday, August 11, 2010. We just made history! This was the first provincial-wide event where pastors and leaders from all denominations united for a conference. It was amazing to watch them pour in as they greeted one another with a blessing from the Lord. They were eager to be there and came with expectancy. God was faithful to meet them. As we draw near to God, He draws near to us. Jim and Renee Larson. Wednesday, December 9, 2009. It is amazing to watch the hand of God move, touch and change lives...
