The garden is growing…. It was so yummy and fresh! Sorry, no picture). Below is another little squash growing. It’s crazy how quick they grow, just overnight! And this is by far my favorite plant – the basil! It really is so easy to grow and it grows quick so I pick from it a couple times a week (usually more). If there is any herb you are thinking about growing, I would recommend basil because it is easy, does well in the heat and it tastes delicious! I love adding it to my grilled cheese with tomato.

Tomato Basil Soup | everydaygourmetmom

https://everydaygourmetmom.wordpress.com/2015/03/13/tomato-basil-soup

March 13, 2015. Soups are a common dinner around here because I can dump all my vegetable essentials in a pot, pour some vegetable broth on it and call it dinner! A friend of mine made an amazing Tomato Basil Soup a couple years ago and this recipe has been stuck with me ever since. Here. Is the original recipe but I’ve made a few changes to mine. 2 (14oz) cans diced tomatoes with juice. 1 c diced celery. 1 c diced carrots. 1 c diced onions. 1 c diced bell pepper (any color). 1 tsp dried oregano. I like ...

March | 2015 | everydaygourmetmom

https://everydaygourmetmom.wordpress.com/2015/03

March 29, 2015. It’s been a busy couple of weeks but I finally started my garden! We bought a couple plants to transport and then the rest we planted seeds. We planted tomatoes, basil, cucumber, zucchini, squash, okra, jalapeños, bell peppers, peas, broccoli and carrots. My favorite thing to do everyday is to water the garden and see how many seeds have sprouted! Cucumber – the first to sprout after 5 days and growing like a weed! 1 box penne pasta (spiral or bowtie would work well too). 1/2 onion, diced.

February 22, 2015. The key to a great dish is not just the right ingredients but also having the right seasoning. If at any time you can grow your own herbs, THIS IS THE BEST OPTION! But for those of us who are lazy or have a brown thumb, buying the dried spices are the next best thing. Below are the necessities I keep stocked in my spices cupboard:. 8211; this is probably a given but I actually know some people who do not salt and pepper all of their dishes. It is an absolute must! Is a good website.

Accidentally Vegan Sunday Morning Pancakes | everydaygourmetmom

https://everydaygourmetmom.wordpress.com/2015/03/01/accidentally-vegan-sunday-morning-pancakes

Accidentally Vegan Sunday Morning Pancakes. March 1, 2015. Sunday is just not Sunday at the Hart home unless there’s pancakes in the morning. This is my favorite pancake mix that I get from Costco (pictured above). I know people see organic and think it’s gonna be gross but its actually really good. It has a really great flavor and texture with tiny grains that pop in your mouth. This is a really great find from Costco that the whole family will like and not even know it’s healthy! Middot; March 9, 2015.
