Everyday Inklings: Introducing Simple Joy Sundays
http://everydayinklings.blogspot.com/2015/01/introducing-simple-joy-sundays.html
Sunday, January 4, 2015. Introducing Simple Joy Sundays. Later I'll go more into the convoluted reasons this blog has been so sporadic. For now, I'm following through on my new hope for 2015: regular postings. Enter: Simple Joy Sundays. We've had a blissful New Year. Beginning Tuesday with our tearful reunion after a bittersweet send off for my Mimi and continuing through the turn of 2015 and the wonderful bonus holiday weekend, we've had six days of joyful connections. Suddenly the door from the basemen...

Everyday Inklings: Wondering Together: Week 2
http://everydayinklings.blogspot.com/2013/09/wondering-together-week-2.html
Monday, September 16, 2013. Wondering Together: Week 2. We're working on naming this homeschooled, unschooled version of spirit play. All week, both girls and their dad were looking forward to our time yesterday morning. Along with the usual rituals adopted from Unity's spirit play, we read two wonderful books. By Etin Boritzer,. Which is sure to spark a thoughtful conversation with kids. It also provides a great overview of religions and prayer around the world. Max got the idea in his universe pajamas!

Wednesday, October 22, 2014. 7 Blog Posts I Should have Written in October. When my little Elliot was just turning one, I finally gave myself permission to write. Daily. With unselfconscious enthusiasm. I started this blog (or it's predecessor - Growing! I worked my way through The Artists Way. And launched into morning pages. With a gusto that hasn't faded even eight years later. I've completed NANOWRIO all but one years since 2009 (that's 4 hastily written novel drafts, folks! The trail in our wood (al...
Everyday Inklings: Talking to Girls - A Good Reminder.
http://everydayinklings.blogspot.com/2011/09/talking-to-girls-good-reminder.html
Thursday, September 8, 2011. Talking to Girls - A Good Reminder. Little Miss trotted off (her chin tucked nervously to her chest and her big eyes wide) to preschool today, alone for the first time. Happily, by the time I left her, she was bravely playing with her new little friends and waving me off to promenade around Silverwood with Mr. Max and my NaNoWriMo notebook. It all reminded me of a couple of articles a friend passed my way not long ago:. One's from a blog called A Cup of Jo. Resist the standar...

Tuesday, January 29, 2013. The First Ski and Snow of the Season. We recently took the Sauda ski boat. We stayed at the Marathon apartment with Leif Christian and Therese for the weekend. And while Jeff and Leif Christian enjoyed some skiing. I got to hang with this little girl! It wasn't too long after our ski trip that Stavanger received its first heavy snow. Jeffrey wasted no time in gathering supplies for a proper snow man. And of course Pistol has to be a part of it! Location: Røldal, Norway. Jeffrey...
Jones Story Book: Taking it in
http://jonesstorybook.blogspot.com/2012/06/taking-it-in.html
Monday, June 25, 2012. Well, I think I have been MIA for quite some time as far as this blog goes. On the other hand, I have been very present in the day-to-days of the life that has grown to be our "norm." This blog has been in the back of my mind for a while now and simply cannot put off any longer getting back to trying to record these things that have been happening with us! Koryn is getting to be such a little cutie, with quite an attitude if you can believe it! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Sunday, July 17, 2011. And what a joy she has been the past 22 months! She definately has spunk in her (hense, the reason why I am glad we only have one! But she is just so sweet! Obviously a daddy's girl, she has him wrapped around her little finger! Our little peanut knows how to push every button there is (this may be the reason that I sometimes say that she is my pay back child! Even so, we can't wait to see what the future holds and who she grows up to be, attitude and all! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
Jones Story Book: Days Remembered
http://jonesstorybook.blogspot.com/2012/11/days-remembered.html
Tuesday, November 6, 2012. There are certain dates that have meaning for all of us. With a little help from someone very important, I have come to realize and accept that even those we do add meaning to specific dates, they are really little more than another day on the calendar unless you make something of them. Yes the little ones are in their undies.finger painting is much easier to clean up this way ;). We lugged the huge symbol of our love out to the cemetary and visited Grandpa Steven.

Checking the Map: August 2013
http://checkthemap.blogspot.com/2013_08_01_archive.html
Sunday, August 11, 2013. We've had quite a few things going on this spring (more on that later! But we managed to fit a few hikes in when the weather permitted. After our visit home in March, we took advantage of the long Easter weekend by hiking Vårlivarden. We had another long weekend in May (Norway has a TON of national holidays in the spring! So we took some advice from a fellow expat and drove to Hagalid to hike Skomakarnibbå. This hike goes through woodland, bog, and up cliffs along the 7km trail.

Tuesday, June 16, 2015. After making plans several weeks in advance, we finally made it to Waurika, Oklahoma, to spend time with our friends! Clay, a pledge brother of Jeff's, his wife Lindsey and their son Arlington live on Stuart Ranch. Along with Clay's mother Terry (the Ranch Manager) and Clay's brother Robert (the ranch's Head Horse Trainer). Clay also works on the ranch as head of Stuart Ranch Outfitters. Every Day in Jeans?
Every Day in Jeans? I am a stay home mom who is crazy about fashion, home design, reading and good food. Sunday, August 25, 2013. Last lazy days of summer. As I finish up this crazy summer filled with hockey, baskeball, kids everywhere and 'late" fabulous summer weather I am trying to keep funky and fresh but still a little classy. I find it so easy to be throwing on mini shorts and a ratty t but with teenage kids and their friends around I need to keep it a bit more grown up. Friday, April 19, 2013.

Everyday Inklings | seeking the still point beneath the striving
Seeking the still point beneath the striving. Interview with Our 9 Year Old! September 30, 2016. September 30, 2016. Miss Elliot is nine. This girl has become an exceptional little person over the course of this last year. She is as caring and tender-hearted as ever. She’s curious and brave and has an unflappable commitment to honesty and justice (read: she calls me out when necessary… and sometimes when not necessary). I believe you can know a lot about a person by the books they read. 8221; Last week i...

Life as i know it....
Imperfection is beauty, madness is genius and it's better to be absolutely ridiculous than absolutely boring. Commission my soul with a fire uncontrollable for this great cause to save the lost. Open my eyes to the reason I’m alive oh’ Lord I’m ready now, I’ll follow You. T’s hard to wait for something you know will never happen, but it’s even harder to stop when you know it’s the most thing you ever wanted.
