In the spring I had met the most charming man and before I knew it, he had swept me off of my feet. I had no idea that life could be so wonderful. Everything seemed so fantastic, it seemed like a fairy tale. However, there was a glitch. Maybe I had misread the situation? Maybe this wasn't God's will for me after all? There was a 20 minute detour so my drive was particularly long, but I thought and I prayed and I sang to the radio and I thought some more. I was relieved to finally arrive at the campground and hunt down one of my closest friends. So what was so difficult about this friendship that I was so desperately trying to avoid in my life? It was 870 miles from home.

Mom's Meatloaf (from www.tasteofhome.com. 2/3 cup finely crushed saltines. 1/2 cup chopped onion. 1/2 teaspoon rubbed sage. 1-1/2 pounds lean ground beef. 1/2 cup packed brown sugar. 1 teaspoon Worcesteshire sauce. Garlic Chicken (from www.everydaycheapskate.com. 4 egg yolks, beaten slightly. 6 cloves fresh garlic, chopped (use freshest garlic possible). 6 tablespoons butter, melted.
