Thursday, April 27. Has a really great article. On the history of games, from the first track games of the 18th century to the miniature war games written by H.G. Wells, to Dungeons and Dragons, Magic: The Gathering, and World of Warcraft. The author also suggests a few places to look for truly inventive game design today, including Scandinavian Live Action Role-Playing. Who knew? It's a good, informative read. Wednesday, September 27. How I Spent My Summer Vacation. The past few weeks for me have been really great. I've been feeling healthy and attractive, and I'm getting lots accomplished. I'm enjoying myself more, and people respond to me better. Before, I wondered why things have been going so well for me, but now I realise how obvious it is: it's all because I'm having so much nosex. Saturday, January 28. I believe that education should promote in pupils a better relationship with ignorance. Teachers should tell us not only what we know, but also what we don't know. Friday, February 24. How did this transition affect the composer of music? The astute composer of the turn of the last century had to realize that enormous changes were taking place in the way music was consumed. How did a composer change their style in order to satisfy the new listener? What about the detachment from the instrument and the musician? Were instruments being used in original ways in order to create new sounds for the stay at home listener? Posted by Sam Fraser @ 1:56 PM. Links to this post.
