Neophyte Jungle: Souvenir
http://neophytejungle.blogspot.com/2009/03/souvenir.html
Welcome to the jungle . Tuesday, March 24, 2009. In addition to more photos than I can count, my husband and I like to pick up a little trinket from the locations we visit while on an extended vacation. Usually, the item is something small . A hand painted. From our honeymoon, a piece of mountain rock from Colorado . Definitely not something worth more than a couple of dollars. Or so we thought . It turns out, our leisurely vacation out of the States yielded. Son or daughter one day.

This is a blog about our growing family. It includes all things Wilson. Monday, March 2, 2009. Maggie decided she wanted to do something special to celebrate her 5 month birthday. What better way to celebrate than by rolling over for the first time so Mommy, Daddy, and Katie could all see! 160;She actually did the rolling yesterday, Sunday, March 1, in the evening, but I didn't catch it on video until today. She's such a champ at it now! 160;It only took one or two times for her to get the hang of it.

Neophyte Jungle: Speculation
http://neophytejungle.blogspot.com/2009/04/speculation.html
Welcome to the jungle . Tuesday, April 14, 2009. I wondered how long it would take before my students started speculating about my "condition.". Apparently, not long. Today, on two separate occasions, students (all girls) called me over during seat work and, none-too-timidly, asked the question: "Are you pregnant? Not be the case! With these kids craving attention and, oftentimes, that connection with an adult that they can trust, the wall can become faulty, crack, and fall, challenging and sometimes eli...

Neophyte Jungle: May 2008
http://neophytejungle.blogspot.com/2008_05_01_archive.html
Welcome to the jungle . Friday, May 30, 2008. I just love this photo. I took it when my husband and I vacationed in Estes Park, Colorado this past fall. Once inside, I really wanted to capture the simplicity and beauty of the woodwork, rock walls, and colorful stained-glass windows so that I could take it home with me. The violets, greens, and golds cast across the pews were so calming and relaxing. I could have sat there all day long. I hope that we'll be able to make the trip back to Estes Park someday.

Neophyte Jungle: December 2008
http://neophytejungle.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html
Welcome to the jungle . Monday, December 22, 2008. Last Friday afternoon marked the beginning of my Christmas vacation. While the school day itself was uneventful for the most part, I wanted to share a portion of an article in our school's "newspaper." It's author, Andy, is one of my favorite students because he is one of the few that actually. Are your teachers heroes? For giving me hope that my hard work doesn't not go unrecognized by the students that I'm trying reach . Friday, December 19, 2008.

Neophyte Jungle: March 2009
http://neophytejungle.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
Welcome to the jungle . Thursday, March 26, 2009. To truly see the difference between men and women, one must look no farther than their reactions to a pregnancy announcement. A response from another (female) teacher at my place of employment:. A response from a (male) co-worker at my husband's place of employment:. You've got to be loving your wife's bigger boobs! Just wait until her milk comes in .". Tuesday, March 24, 2009. Or so we thought . It gives the statement "Made in Mexico" a whole new meaning...

This is a blog about our growing family. It includes all things Wilson. Tuesday, October 20, 2009. We had fun at the state fair last Saturday morning. Here is a video and a few pictures. Slide, fun house, and nauseating swing! Hard to ride something like this when you're pregnant! Katie caught a $2 fish, but only got a 10-cent toy! Katie loved the Ferris Wheel, but Jimmy said it was so cold at the top. I'm just glad it wasn't a turkey leg! Tuesday, October 6, 2009. Monday, October 5, 2009. Maggie celebr...

Wilson Family Values: August 2009
http://wilsonsinraleigh.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html
This is a blog about our growing family. It includes all things Wilson. Sunday, August 23, 2009. Tuesday, August 11, 2009. On Sunday morning, Jimmy and I decided not to attend church so we could instead be lazy on our 6-year wedding anniversary. I mean, we didn't buy each other cards or gifts or even plan a big dinner, so why change it up with a family outing so early in the morning, right? THE SQUEALING that followed! Katie cried and cried and whined and whined about the pain. OH! It was a long day of...
