http://keithsephemera.blogspot.com/2009/02/tangier-and-cognac.html
Fiction, Prose and Ephemera. Miscellaneous writings by a nurse with too much time on his hands. Sunday, February 8, 2009. He sits alone at a candlelit corner table near the window. His grey hair is short and neat, and he’s wearing a slightly rumpled beige linen suit without a tie. The restaurant is quiet, and other diners speak in hushed tones as the servers glide between the tables like ersatz ice skaters. 8221; he writes, his spidery handwriting slanting, as always, to the left. 8220; When they sent th...

Fiction, Prose and Ephemera. Miscellaneous writings by a nurse with too much time on his hands. Sunday, December 14, 2008. Even now, hunched at his desk and enduring spitballs and nasty notes, this young man is painfully aware that he is different from his peers. Stoic, focused, knowing full well that his enemies are truly enraged by their natural academic inferiority, he looks ahead toward a future when his studious concentration and desire for learning will most certainly pay dividends beyond his w...

Fiction, Prose and Ephemera. Miscellaneous writings by a nurse with too much time on his hands. Friday, November 21, 2008. The room smells of roses, disinfectant and urine. It was obviously used as a study prior to its current incarnation as a sick room, a room in which to die and bring a life to a gentle denouement. His desk, a large roll-top affair adorned with one of those green-shaded lamps one might see in a New England antique shop, stands closed, quiet, and unproductive. Once the center of fur...

Fiction, Prose and Ephemera. Miscellaneous writings by a nurse with too much time on his hands. Saturday, February 28, 2009. Columbus Circle, 4:30 pm. On Central Park West, uniformed doormen stand at attention, quietly awaiting residents and visitors for whom they can open doors and carry packages with well-practiced and graceful aplomb. At Columbus Circle, cars, taxis and buses revolve around the crowded roundabout, the Trump Plaza towering above this magnificent southwestern corner of the park. But, ye...

Fiction, Prose and Ephemera. Miscellaneous writings by a nurse with too much time on his hands. Thursday, February 19, 2009. What he had tried to say was that he was sorry. His stumbling, inconsistent words hung like unanswered questions in the stale air in the tunnels below Piccadilly Circus. His apology was all disappointment, hollow words apparently devoid of true contrition. 8221; seemed trite, and “ Please forgive me. 8221; might come across as melodramatic. Perhaps “ Can we start over. My practice ...

That’s quite a question to ask a stranger at a train station bar, but I have some time to kill and you seem like a sincere person. So sure, why not? So won't you try as hard as you can. To put my broken heart together again. If I had a world of my own...
If I had a world of my own. Live simply, Care deeply, Love generously. With both her parents being nature photographers, Tippi Degre has had one amazing childhood. Before she was born, her French parents relocated to Namibia, Africa, where she grew up alongside wild animals such as zebras, elephants, cheetahs, and lions. During her stay in Namibia, she befriended a 28-year old elephant named Abu. Forever jealous of that life. I want to do this but get a rock from each state!
