I am a passionate Latina Artist and with clay I am fearless. Empowered by my Mexican culture, I have created my most recent body of work,. These skulls originate as simple forms on the wheel and evolve through hand manipulation and carving. Inspired by Dia de los Muertos, I use vibrant colors on white stoneware to symbolize and celebrate the bones, the very structure that in many cultures is lost and forgotten. Through the clay, I connect with Ancestor - be it familial, animal or fantastical in nature.
