According to legend a diabolical book was published in 1732. Large, heavy and wrapped in rough blue leather it was said to be the most evil and terrifying book ever written. The One who Waits. But now a strange diary has turned up. I am going to look further into this mystery. Who wrote this horrible old black book and why? Also, does it really make its readers go mad? And if so – then why and how?

My friend has found out that the parapsychologist indeed, who for now wishes to remain anonymous, for some time has been searching for the book without any luck. But in consequence of sheer coincidence he learned a short while ago, that the foliant suddenly had turned up in the hands of a local bookseller. The owner of the bookshop, Mr. Alon Oshim, maintains that it was brought in from the estate of a deceased Irish Squire, who had called himself Hippolytes O’Riuagor.
