January 10, 2014. June 24, 2014. The travel team left Huatta today after a very successful week. While the team was in Huatta, they visited the rainwater catchment system at the Quivillaca Primary School and found out the majority of the system was functioning properly, they visited the owners of the coagulation systems and gave them additional training, they learned more about the coagulants available in the region, they met with many community members, and even found time to play some vollyball. As for...

July 11, 2014. July 14, 2014. Hey everyone this is Rebecca again! I received great news today that the Huanucollo rainwater catchment system is officially DONE! The bulk of the work has been complete for a few days now, but there was some confusion and delay with the final piece, the pipe supports and gutters. However this has been worked out and now its done! Unfortunately though as it is the dry season in Peru, we won’t know truly how well the system works until later this year. Enter your comment here.

To Build a Rainwater Catchment System. July 14, 2014. July 14, 2014. After two and a half weeks of hard work, we have finally finished the rainwater catchment system at the Huanucollo school in Carancas! To make up for the delay in updating our progress on the rainwater catchment system, this will be a somewhat lengthy blog post with plenty of fun pictures. Deepika, Allison, and Daryl show off their hard work on the French drain. Rahul poses with a community member who volunteered to help out. Oh what fu...
