Observations of the International. Wednesday, November 30, 2005. So I finally got to the bottom of what has been bothering my knee for so long and has hindered me when I would go running. I got my MRI (with the help of my tutor who trnaslated when i didn't understand) and the results showed that I had a (rather small tear, maybe why I don't feel it when I walk, only run) torn meniscus (in other words the cartilage) in my knee. Aha! More to come in the near future. Posted by Amos @ 11/30/2005 05:40:00 PM.

Observations of the International. Monday, January 30, 2006. More scenes from Cologne. This is from the top of the Cologne Dom! I climbed that baby, my second Cathedral tower in Europe actually. It is no wonder how the Europeans stay fit, even when they go on trips, they go and see really old buildings with tons of stairs! Konrad Adenauer, the first Chancellor of the Bundes Republik Deutschland! He was also the Mayor of Cologne for many years, leading up to the Nazi Regime. The bells of the Cologne Dom!

Observations of the International. Friday, March 31, 2006. Some interesting Pics from Bavaria. A little town called Lauingen. Here is a view from the tower in Lauingen. The one ironic thing from the weekend was, as you will notice if you look in the upper right hand corner of the pic, is the nuclear power plant. Now I haven't seen any smoke stacks or anything like that, only windmills, until this event. funny considering all the other enviro-friendly-stuff I saw. The Rathaus. pretty nice one too. Life: S...

Observations of the International. Friday, October 21, 2005. A look at Erfurt. Posted by Amos @ 10/21/2005 01:49:00 PM. Tuesday, October 18, 2005. This is an outlook from the hill the stands on. It overlooks the city of Eisennach (which is also where J.S. Bach was born. We visited his house the same day.). Posted by Amos @ 10/18/2005 04:03:00 PM. This is me on the way to the schloss. As you can see it is pretty high up there. The view from up there. This is deep in a dark dungeon of Hohentwiel. With ...

Observations of the International. Monday, August 29, 2005. More analysis in future posts. Here is how close I got Schroeder- I didn't get to shake his hand though, my friend did (and they don't even like him! Anyway, very exciting. Schroeder has an amazing voice meine Damen und Herren. It sounds like a low baritone, almost musical. Surprising when german can considered so harsh. Posted by Amos @ 8/29/2005 03:56:00 PM. Posted by Amos @ 8/29/2005 03:18:00 PM. Observations of the International. Thursday, December 22, 2005. Here's a look at what is happening in Erfurt for Christmas. It's the Erfurt Weihnachtsmarkt! It is a huge market outside in front of the big cathedral in the middle of Erfurt. So many little goodies to find here. As well as big: The Rieselrad, as it is known in German. Going to the top of the ferris wheel is really really cold. I did it once and about froze to death! On the many avenues of the Wehnachtsmarkt. Wednesday, December 14, 2005.
