This story is told by John Pontius but, he got the story from a man by the name of Spencer. His name has been changed so people won’t know his identity. Just another WordPress.com weblog. Monthly Archives: November 2013. Selection by Kiera Cass. November 29, 2013 10:14 pm. This book is great. I am beginning to think I love dystopian society books. They intrigue me and I love to see the human spirit overcoming hard, tough things. I love overcoming society’s rules that are not good for the people. I enjoy the way the author handles this book. I am glued to the book at every page. It is so hard to stop a moment and have to live life. She can’t decide. That ...

Tuesday, November 20, 2012. Inheritance by Christopher Paolini. This book reminded me that Christopher Paolini's books have many pages. Not only that but, the writing is small so it takes a while for me to read them. But, that is not necessarily a bad thing. I enjoyed the wonderful hours it took to read this big book. (about 100 pages longer than Brisingr- his last book in the series.). This is the conclusion to the series (called the Inheritance Cycle Series). Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Tony DiTerlizzi...

Tuesday, September 4, 2012. Potevka's Gifts by Mike Ramsdell. I read this thinking this book was going to be a continuation of ". A Train to Potevka. But almost immediately in reading the book he mentions that it is not. He does say that a continuation will come out called, "Russia: Rags and Riches- Spies and Lies." He will put that out after the movie of. A Traini to Potevka". There are many questions answered and funny stories shared. I was very grateful to have read this book. View my complete profile.

Saturday, October 20, 2012. The Survivors by Dan Willis. I've had this book for 4 years now and I really wish I would have picked it up sooner. It's great! I haven't read the series but it was great that I could pick this book up and not be lost. I was able to follow the story easily. I loved the religious parts to it. I loved the characters. They were each unique and I grew quite attached to them and their distinct personalities. I totally recommend this book.if you can find it! Main Character, dwarf.

Monday, November 12, 2012. Edenbrooke by Julianne Donaldson. Okay, so this book is just downright romantic! I loved reading this romance. It was clean and filled with high morale and made me want to work on my home relationships. Marianne is so excited to go. Not only because it is in the country but to get away from her Grandmother's critical yet concerned view. Even her trip to Edenbrooke is eventful. There are many twists and turns that I was really quite surprised about. Here are some characters:.

Thursday, January 8, 2015. James White comments on a sermon by James McCarthy, author of "John Calvin Goes to Berkeley". James McCarthy: “…frankly, God doesn’t love you strictly because of yourself; He loves you because of His Son. Didn’t the Lord Jesus teach that.what did He say? The Father loves you why? Because you have loved Me. I mean, 'but God, don’t You just love me? And He goes, 'No, I actually don’t.'” [2:25-2:50]. Here is the text involved:. Fact that the disciples had loved Jesus, McCarthy sho...

Thursday, December 22, 2016. Almost Christmas (or CHRISTmas as I prefer to emphasize those first six letters); almost time to celebrate the birth of our Lord. Yet, in my family (two older sibs, both unmarried) I have to be ultra careful to avoid. Mentioning Jesus and more or less treat it as the secular holiday to which it has been reduced 😔. He's Catholic, attends Mass on Sunday's but is otherwise private about his faith life). Yet, as my seminarian-friend, Ryan so eloquently writes. Yet, I long for a ...
