Exceptional Twice, Exceptionally Nice. Parenting a gifted child with ADHD, twice exceptional (2e) child. Twice Exceptional (or 2E) is a term for kids who are gifted and who also have a disability. I’m currently a stay at home mother of a gifted preschooler with severe adhd (at this point unmedicated), and a toddler who has yet to be officially labeled (although we have unofficially labeled her a tyrant) or medicated (unless chocolate counts).
