Exchange year in the USA. Southern Ground Music Festival. We were on the way to Nashville (Tennessee) the next weekend. We went to the Southern Ground Music Festival! Exchange year in the USA. YFU told me that I should get to know by the next day whether I was going to fly or not. The chance was about 50%. Exchange year in the USA. I toured the Jim Beam Distillery. Kentucky is famous for Bourbon. That evening we had a party at our house. We had a bonfire, food and drinks. We had a lot fun! In November I visited the Maker’s Mark Distillery. We participated in a guided tour and I learned how Bourbon is produced. It was very interesting! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Exchange year in the USA. YFU meeting and post carts. At the end of October was another YFU meeting. This time it was in Cincinnati (Ohio). It was interesting to talk to other exchange students. I visited the first time in my live a haunted house. Kristen (mom) was really scared…. In the fall, I sent around 30 post carts to Switzerland. Unfortunately, they never arrived. Exchange year in the USA. My first days in KY. The first morning, I was alone at home because Kristen and Kyle worked, and my host brother (Tyler) and host sister (Lexi) had to go to school. I began to discover my new home. We have a dog and a cat as pets. Friday, I made a road trip with my host dad (Kyle) to Cincinnati, Ohio. This was awesome! Friday, March 30, 2012. If you go to Dublin, make sure you put that on your bucket list! The day after we also visited the Jameson Distillery. It was very different from the Auchentoshan brewery I visited earlier this semester, although it was interesting to observe the differences between the two. That evening we went to Temple Bar to hit some pubs ( but i'm used to doing that in Glasgow! This is all for today, since I'm off to a Rangers game! Dienstag, 29. Oktober 2013. Natürlich haben wir gewonnen! Und es war echt mit viel Spaß verbunden da in der Halbzeit unsere Homecomingparade war und wir als Austauschschüler die Möglichkeit hatten auf einem Pick-up mit zufahren! Es war echt total cool. wir durften den Waagen schmücken und haben Plakate gemacht auf denen in unseren Muttersprachen 'go Bulldogs' stand! Am Samstag war dann unser Homecomingdance, viele gehen dort als Paar hin wir waren dort als reine Mädelsgruppe und hatten total viel Spaß!

Das Leben ist Schön! Blog of an exchange student. A blog to record my life, happenings and preparations for going to Japan for the summer and to Germany for my Junior year. Tuesday, January 3, 2012. As I posted earlier, I was in Austria for a week, over Christmas and I just got back on Saturday midday. Serfaus is a little town in Austria whose population probably multiplies ten fold for skiing season, when it becomes overrun with tourists from Europe and the occasional Americans.
