The Emperyan: Review: Path of the Seer by Gav Thorpe
http://emperyan.blogspot.com/2011/08/review-path-of-seer-by-gav-thorpe.html
Monday, August 22, 2011. Review: Path of the Seer by Gav Thorpe. Path of the Seer by Gav Thorpe. I've been looking forward to this book since I finished Path of the Warrior. Earlier this year. Path of the Seer is a telling of some of the same story, but from a vastly different perspective. To be fair, most of what is covered in Path of the Seer isn't even mentioned in Path of the Warrior; the events take place in the background or periphery. 4 out of 5 Stars. Tuesday, July 27, 2010. Review: Smallville RPG by Margaret Weis Productions. Smallville RPG by Cam Banks and Josh Roby (and Team). Watermarked PDF from Drive-Thru RPG. I believe that many folks judge a product based on their experiences with it filtered through the looking glass of expectation. If we expect X and get Y, we are often upset and our reviews of it tend to reflect that. I think the expectations of the Smallville need to be straight up front else the experience will suffer. Great info is inclu...

Friday, May 21, 2010. Review: The Chapter's Due by Graham McNeill. The Chapter’s Due by Graham McNeill. Without spoiling the story for people, I’ll just let it suffice to say that the scale is epic. Honsou brings the war to Ultramar in the largest gathering of Iron Warriors, xenos mercenaries, traitors and a whole metric boat-load of daemons since the Horus Heresy. Think of it in these terms:. Chaos Space Marines represent…Chaos. Obviously. Super-soldiers bred for furious assaults who know ...So now the ...

Saturday, April 9, 2011. Review: Blood Reaver by Aaron Dembski-Bowden. Blood Reaver by Aaron Dembski-Bowden. A Night Lords Novel. To be fair I have been anticipating Blood Reaver for a long time. I read Soul Hunter and loved it. Best book of 2010. I had some reservations on whether ADB could top his previous novel in the series. They were totally unfounded. Yeah, they really are. Cover art by Jon Sullivan is of course excellent. Jon never fails to satisfy. 45 out of 5 Stars. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Monday, June 28, 2010. Review: Nemesis by James Swallow. The Officio Assassinorum. We’ve been waiting on something like this for decades, and James Swallow delivers it. As expected it involves scheming at the top levels of the Imperium in order to end this civil war as quickly and painlessly as possible. Anything to save The Emperor and his Imperium. The main plot is simple: send a team of top-shelf assassins to kill Horus, Warmaster, Primarch, son of the living Emperor of Mankind. Simple, right? In a pa...
