Markout: Markout
Release v13.1.0 of Markout. Basically the same, but now uses the new 'n' improved MarkdownJ 0.3.0. Markout is a wiki markup processor written in Java that extends Markdown. A lightweight markup language. Like Markdown, Markout is both a syntax and a processor. At the moment, Markout just adds a few kinds of free links. RESOURCE NAME] - Documents [ category:RESOURCE NAME] - Categories [ image:RESOURCE NAME] - Images ResourceName - WikiWords. And requires the MarkdownJ libs in order to do its thang.
boomstick: Boomstick!
A throbbing ball of crazy that comes in the dead of night to silently feast on my dreams. The 12-gauge double-barreled Remington. S-Mart's top of the line. You can find this in the sporting goods department. That's right, this sweet baby was made in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Retails for about $109.95. It's got a walnut stock, cobalt blue steel, and a hair trigger. That's right. Shop smart. Shop S-Mart.". Also, here's a page on markout. If you have any questions, us. A few other words.

Sunday, February 4, 2007. I recently put together a simple RSS feed organ, and decided to write it in XSLT 2.0, which I also get for free thanks to Saxon. It probably goes without saying, but XSLT 2.0 is just a ton nicer than 1.0, simply by virtue of dropping RTFs and allow user-defined functions. I'd also like to add XQuery support, I'd really. Like to, but there are apparently two hurdles. There is a conflict between Cocoon's APL and Saxon's MPL, at least for the Apache folks. I had a dream last night ...

Monday, September 25, 2006. Virtual domain mess sorted out. Auth system still needs to be built, but the auth framework is now working properly. I'm getting a better sense of how I want to handle ids and metadata. Issues remain, of course, but not stupid ankle-biting kind of crap. I feel positive towards the project again, and I feel like momentum has been re-established. Sunday, September 24, 2006. Or, rather,. Need to insert google ads into the page layout? Need to write an mp3 player/browser module?

Tuesday, May 9, 2006. Pipeline would be swell), but that is looking increasingly unrealistic. I'm willing to go with Python or Ruby or whatever (I would prefer to avoid perl) but it would still be nice if it was at least somewhat xml-centric - after all, data and configuration is far more valuable than an application itself. My first choice is daisy. Which almost fits the bill, but is obscenely resource-intensive. SnipSnap. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.

Wednesday, January 31, 2007. I had a dream last night where XQuery. Was this very powerful science that was seen in fearful, almost magical terms by the laity. I guess this is perhaps an indication that I have been reading too many Dune references while watching too much Fullmetal Alchemist while doing too much XML programming. The declarative artifact engineers are extinct. Their fire has gone out of the universe. You, my friend, are all that remains of their religion.". Thursday, January 11, 2007.

Tuesday, December 5, 2006. So, I'm about to put out an open source project. It's nothing big, just a couple of classes, an extension for a markdown. So, I haven't released an open source project on my own before, so I'm debating what name to use to release it. Should I use my name, or should I make up some name like "Exegetic Labs" or "Throbbing Elephant Cock" or whatever? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Nathan Winant
I’m Nathan Winant; you may know me as a random guy on the Internet. I live in Austin, TX, USA. These days I’m a software developer at Cycorp. Where I build semantic applications and developer tools for the Cyc AI. Mainly in Java, HTML5, and JavaScript. Check out some of our stuff on GitHub. And learn more at the Cyc Developer Center. In my spare time I’m into skepticism. Getting roped into the occasional overly-elaborate art project, checking out interesting design and digital art.
