Exiled Addick: August 2012
http://exiledaddick.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
Saturday, 25 August 2012. Charlton 0 - 0 Hull. Charlton maintained their unbeaten run in the League by earning a draw against Steve Bruce's Hull City. On a day when the weather took a turn for the worse, both teams battled on despite torrential rain and some appalling conditions on the pitch. Posted by The Exile. Friday, 24 August 2012. Tigers visit The Valley. Hull City are Charlton's next opponents at The Valley on Saturday. After narrowly losing to Blackburn in midweek, the Tigers will be looking ...
Exiled Addick: April 2012
http://exiledaddick.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html
Sunday, 15 April 2012. When Charlton first arrived in League One, I expected a swift return to the Championship. I never considered it would take us three attempts, nor did I think that I would feel so elated when that moment did come. Like many fans, I was angry when we arrived in this division. After a spell of relative success, it was hard to accept the downward spiral that we had fallen into, and how quickly our fortunes had turned for the worst. This promotion can help us close the book on another b...
Exiled Addick: September 2012
http://exiledaddick.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html
Wednesday, 19 September 2012. Derby County ensured Charlton suffered their third defeat in as many games in a five goal thriller at Pride Park. A second half fightback wasn't good enough for the Addicks who really need to start putting in that type of performance for 90 minutes. Chris Powell might have have surprised some fans with his team selection. Cedric Evina was left on the bench, preferring right-back Solly in the left-back position with Lawrie Wilson covering for Solly on the right. Overall it wa...
Exiled Addick: February 2012
http://exiledaddick.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html
Thursday, 16 February 2012. It's been just over a year since I started this blog, and how things have changed, both personally for me and for our beloved Charlton. I took some time out recently after becoming both a father and a grandfather in the same month, so it's been an especially busy time in our family. On the pitch, Charlton have managed to keep up the promotion push they started before my little break, and in fact have been doing so in a thoroughly professional manner. Powell has put together a ...
Exiled Addick: Hands off our academy!
http://exiledaddick.blogspot.com/2014/03/hands-off-our-academy.html
Wednesday, 12 March 2014. Hands off our academy! I've started to see a number of views from different sources about the benefits a 'feeder club' kind of system can bring us, but I personally cannot see any benefit for us in this particular case. The point that seems to be missed over and over is that Standard Liege are not a big club. A single point out of six games. Both Wigan and Swansea picked up more points in their respective groups than Liege could manage. I mean no disrespect to any of the...It's ...

Life, Love and CAFC: July 2014
http://lauracy1.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
Life, Love and CAFC. Sunday, 20 July 2014. I have a bugbear when it comes to concerts and one that I share with at least one person. That is why do people buy concert tickets and then proceed to get drunk and talk through the whole concert? I do realise that it's a night out but YOU'VE PAID MONEY TO WATCH SOMEONE PERFORM FOR YOU! If you just want to get drunk then why not go to a pub or club for the evening? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Support Charlton Athletic and Essex for my sins.
Addick's Third Division Diary: Michael Slater's statement
http://addicksdiary3.blogspot.com/2012/07/michael-slaters-statement.html
Addick's Third Division Diary. Saturday, 7 July 2012. Michael Slater has said: 'I've heard about some gossip about the club, but for the last year and a half we have consistently said that we will operate the club on sound commercial principles, and I believe last season's success vindicates our approach.'. 8 July 2012 at 08:20. Addick's Third Division Diary: Jiminez tightens grip at The Valley
http://addicksdiary3.blogspot.com/2012/07/tony-jimenez-has-substantially.html
Addick's Third Division Diary. Thursday, 12 July 2012. Jiminez tightens grip at The Valley. Tony Jimenez has substantially increased his share in CAFC Holdings Ltd, the company which owns Charlton Athletic. Jimenez previously held a 28 per cent stake in the company, but the Charlton website was updated this morning and his share has now increased to 47.6 per cent. A spokesman for Charlton Athletic told News Shopper. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Links for the Addickted. CAFC and nothing else matters.
Addick's Third Division Diary: Prodigal son returns
http://addicksdiary3.blogspot.com/2012/07/prodigal-son-returns.html
Addick's Third Division Diary. Sunday, 8 July 2012. The Addicks are closing a deal on one time youth player Lawrie Wilson who is being signed for around half a million from Stevenage. He can play at right back or in midfield: Wilson. 9 July 2012 at 17:12. The push for the creation of a supporters trust would seem to be a sound preventive measure not to address any particular problem but to have a structure in place should serious issues emerge in the near, medium, or long-term. Addick's Third Division Diary: Elliot did not hit it off with Pardew at first
http://addicksdiary3.blogspot.com/2012/07/elliot-did-not-hit-it-off-with-pardew.html
Addick's Third Division Diary. Wednesday, 4 July 2012. Elliot did not hit it off with Pardew at first. Former Charlton goalkeeper Rob Elliot admits that he did not hit it off with Super Alan Pardew when they first met, but now he is trying to impress him at Newcastle: Elliot. Was it a good move for Elliot? Only time will tell. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Links for the Addickted. I could be wrong, I could be right'. CAFC and nothing else matters. Blackheath Addick: August 2014
http://blackheathaddicted.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html
Tuesday, 19 August 2014. Possession Sometimes Doesn't Count For Much. As this was my first game of the season, I can’t compare the performance with what has gone before. But not surprisingly there can’t be many complaints after a win against one of the promotion favourites, one in which we displayed solidity when out of possession, created the better chances, took three of them, and left nothing to be desired in terms of effort and commitment. Pope – 5/10. No disgrace in that. It was a bad ...Never looke...

Blackheath Addick: Fair Result
http://blackheathaddicted.blogspot.com/2015/04/fair-result.html
Tuesday, 7 April 2015. The team was fairly predictable. With Solly unavailable, Gomez took his spot, with Ben Haim returning to partner Johnson, while Bulot came in for Eagles on the left side. Diarra, Cousins and Berg Gudmundsson completed the midfield, with Watt and Vetokele paired up front. Just before the break a McCormack free-kick from outside the box produced a decent save from Henderson, who dived to his left to turn it away. And at the break it really was anyone's game. Fox - 6/10. Not sure ...

Blackheath Addick: Turnaround After The Break
http://blackheathaddicted.blogspot.com/2015/03/turnaround-after-break.html
Saturday, 21 March 2015. Turnaround After The Break. Apparently Solly, having been named in the side (as captain), was injured during the pre-match preparations, so whatever the original intentions it turned out to be in front of Henderson Gomez and Fox plus Johnson and Diarra. The midfield four (Bulot, Buyens, Cousins and Berg Gudmundsson) contained no surprises, while up front Eagles was given a start inside along with Watt, with Vetokele not making the bench. Diarra - 7/10. Looks quite capable at ...

Blackheath Addick: Best Laid Plans
http://blackheathaddicted.blogspot.com/2015/04/best-laid-plans.html
Monday, 27 April 2015. Not exactly the stuff of pay-per-view nirvana. Perhaps if Bournemouth and Rotherham do the business they might then relent and switch all the games back to a 3pm start, to allow for normal body-clock pre-match alcohol consumption. I know, I live in cloud-cuckoo land. 28 April 2015 at 17:06. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). And Nothing Else Matters. Drinking During The Game. From The Hill To The Valley. Blackheath Addick: September 2014
http://blackheathaddicted.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Saturday, 27 September 2014. Close But No Cigar. At the break it was a case of plaudits all round for the efforts but no idea where a goal for either side might come from. Perhaps both sides would go for it more in the second, once we’d got through the unwelcome nonsense of our apparently new half-time ‘entertainment’, an experiment which hopefully will prove short-lived. Henderson: 8/10. No complaints at all. Did all he had to and came out well to smother a dangerous moment in the second half. Solly: 7/...

Exiled at 24fps
Sunday, July 09, 2006. The third film I saw at the festival was Frozen Days. The production began as a uni project for director Danny Lerner, and was completed post-university, with no additional support from the uni. It is a film which indicates there will be a promising future for Lerner, but at the same time you can still tell that it is a uni project. By that I mean not fully polished, not fully realised. So what attracted me to this film? And would be, I figured, in the film). Well I was sitting ver...
