Exmoor Canoe Club – Since 2004. Find us on Facebook. Exmoor Canoe Club was formed in November 2004 and started off primarily as an informal meet and greet service for paddlers in the Exmoor area. Using the ECC message board, local trips down the Upper and Lower Barle were organised and so the club was born. Trips went from five or six people just meeting up at the car park to over thirty paddlers from Exmoor taking on Exmoor rivers. Tuesday, 29 November 2011. WWSR White Water Safety and Rescue. Far too many days spent throwing people into the River Dart. Having run courses over the last few weekends for Exmoor Canoe Club, Avon Outdoor Club, Taunton Canoe Club. I've realised how much I enjoy running these courses. The guys who attend all go away saying how they now feel like they can be a usefull member of the team if it all goes a bit "pete tounge". Simple stragegies, simple kit, but effective use.
