My Portugal Meu Portugal. Vento Portugues - a blog about preparing and working towards a dream. Tuesday, 15 June 2010. 71 days since arrival. On the 29th of May we went around Tavira to Pego do Inferno. Magical place with turquoise waters and a waterfall. Not many people were there but I wonder how many know about it. It's absolutely beautiful like from a totally different place where you expect a nymph to pop from the water. Who knows, maybe there are some :). Here some pics from Pego do Inferno:. In my...

My Portugal Meu Portugal. Vento Portugues - a blog about preparing and working towards a dream. Monday, 29 March 2010. 6 days to go. Time is going by like crazy, just *whooshing* by. 6 days left, last 3 days at work. I must admit I won't really miss my job, nor the people (maybe some). The atmosphere here was totally different when I came than now. Hopefully my new job in Portugal will bring me at least a bit of joy, although I believe it will be really stressful in the beginning. Turtle in Lagos ZOO :-).

My Portugal Meu Portugal. Vento Portugues - a blog about preparing and working towards a dream. Friday, 30 October 2009. Is the biggest city on the coast and from 1756 the administrative capital of the Algarve. The building of the international airport changed Faro from a sleepy fisherman town to a market - tourism center. Which you can get to through an XVIII Arco da Vila (city gate). In the old town is the 1st christian church of Faro. Other worth seeing churches are Igreja do Carmo. And the S ão Pedro.

Sunday, April 29, 2012. Um Dia na Loja! By Ruth L. Ataide. Leite – Check! Porco – Check! E Peru – Check! Legumes – Check! Azeitonas – Check! Tortillas – Check! What would "um dia na loja" (a day at the store) be like for a country girl? Our flight arrived in Lisboa on time at 11:00 pm, and. Our dear friends the Ekks met us with smiles and a camera in hand! Oh well, the elevator would have been too small anyway and would “tell” us we Americans are too large…but that is another story! We don't sleep in,.

Friends of Portugal: When History Proves Kings to be Fools
http://friendsofportugal.blogspot.com/2013/08/when-history-proves-kings-to-be-fools.html
Monday, August 12, 2013. When History Proves Kings to be Fools. It was not all that long ago that we mere commoners had no real opinion on such matters, for the “divine right of kings” had a long and fairly painful history before finally abandoned. A very severe example of this can be found in Portugal at the incredible Palacio Nacional de Mafra, located about 20 miles northwest of Lisbon. Century, regardless of where we call home, need to keep in mind. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). United Portugue...

Skip to main content. Skip to secondary content. It's not your grandma's Portugal……. The Worst PR, Ever. Category Archives: My Lusophone Journey. Happy St. Patrick’s Day, PL’s! So my cousin (well, really my mother’s cousin) João asked me about his recent sojourn to Mc Donald’s in New York. Apparently he went there and drank something primordially disgusting. It was green, and minty and quite thick and just oh, so wrong. Um, no. I’ve never had a Shamrock Shake. Posted in My Lusophone Journey. If I knew wh...
