Let’s just laugh. July 12, 2015. Everyone makes embarassing mistakes when they learn another language. I spent my whole year abroad in Italy telling people that I had 23 asses (ho 23 ani), instead of saying I was 23 years old (ho 23 anni). But mistakes are a normal part of learning. It’s our attitude to them which makes the difference between being afraid to open our mouths and getting stuck, or having fun and learning. So, here’s to mistakes. Beautiful, glorious, hilarious mistakes. Middot; July 12, 2015.

Seven expat women coming together to write about life and career abroad. What Is This All About? Home away from home :). March 1, 2017. March 1, 2017. We all have different conceptions of home and last week, Erin wrote about. What home means when you’ve moved your physical location at regular intervals. It got me thinking about what home really meant to me, someone who has had fairly constant physical locations (18 years at my birthplace, followed by 5 years in college and now 2 in Oxford). This is going...
