Wednesday, March 2, 2011. My father's voice fills the room, the rythmic, repetitive sound of his chant is tangible, like the blanket I am wrapped up in. It envelops me in the warmth of the Words. From the window at the back of the house I can see the sky, just now turning from pitch black to that early morning, gray blue. The silouettes of the forest trees stretch out long, skinny and black, still bare and skeletal from winter, but ready to bring forth a new season of life. The sun, is rising in the east.

The content and opinions found on this blog are mine alone, and do not reflect any position of the United States Government or the Peace Corps. September 22, 2011. Some Other Kind of Justice. http://claireseuroamerica.blogspot.com/2010/10/changes.html
The Poodle has spoken. Sunday, October 17, 2010. Luckily, my volunteer work has turned into a full-time job. I am able to put my political science and research training to work. And I am actually getting paid! Not much, but it is a start. But here is hoping the juices get flowing. http://swenglishexpat.blogspot.com/2011/11/insatiable-alsatian.html
Sunday, November 06, 2011. On our walk last time we lost the chicken farmer’s sociable dog to a high-energy chase of a poor little wild boar. He got his paws wet in the ditches along the narrow country lanes, and he crossed the road to explore everything he could smell, hear or see. Luckily for us, our neighbours were...
